There are different skills and abilities which need to be developed for the personal and
professional development of an individual. There are some activities which need to be completed
by the employees in order to enhance their abilities (Williams et al., 2011). I have analyzed my
week skills which I need to improve. I need to improve my communication skills for interacting
with the employees and other staff members. Apart from this I need to assess my decision
making skills so that I can take different types of decisions at different times.
There are many areas which need to be improved according to the needs of the organization.
Being a assistant manager in Travelodge in need to have effective communication skills because
there are different types of visitors comes to visit the hotel. The manager needs to have
knowledge of different language so that the clients and visitors can get accurate services and
facilities according to their needs.
Apart from this, I have analyzed that I need to enhance my presentation skills in order to
organize different seminars (Woodcock, 2017). I need to present the norms and standards of the
organization in front of the new employees and customers for which I need effective presentation
skills. For this I will improve my communication which will be helpful in reducing the hesitation
and fear of public speaking. Lastly, it can be said that these are the essential skills which needs to
be improved.

2.3
The different development opportunities can be helpful in meeting with the future needs and
objectives of the organization. The employees of Travelodge need to focus on their work
according to their commitment towards the organization.
The Travelodge hotel can subjectively support to their staff members and provide them accurate
training to gain opportunities which can be helpful for their future growth (Diaconu and Dutu,
