The aim of the book is to Christian counsellors as well as pastors as they are deficit of
the resources required to initiate marriage or family counselling. The psychologists have put
forward the theories that they have acquired while providing training the readers. The readers
in this case are those individuals to be looking forward to counsel couples.
The concept that is being reflected in this case deals with US that provide a better
understanding on the perception of togetherness through teamwork1. The aim has been to
resolve the issues that exists in marriages that takes place mostly due to individualistic
leanings. This does not involve any discussions that are related to offense as well as inquiry.
The restrictions are clearly defined as far as couples requiring a counsel is concerned.
The authors have also initiated to provide an overview on empathy, forgiveness as well as
clarity that should exist in relationships.

The aim of this book is to act a guide that reflects on aspects initiating marriage as
well as family counselling. These counselling are based on parameters published by the
American association of Christian Counsellors (AACC). This in turn makes sure that the
meetings are carried out effectively that helps to provide resolution to issues related to
marriage.
The authors reflected on the fact that communication is imperative in a marriage.
There are five types of communication that requires to be included in a marriage2.
Conversely, the association between churches and their requirement in personal relationships
is uncertain all through the text.
I could infer that the book that has been related to my ministry has been imperative as
it helped me to get a clear understanding regarding certain problems such as domestic
aggression, adoption, addiction and substance mistreatment in the family. I have personally
acquired help through the book as it helped me to improve my communication thus
reinforcing relationship with my wife.

The book has been serving as a reference manual that has been helping the students as
well as pastors in order to get a better knowledge about human behaviour. The book also
serves as a biblical teaching that has been acting as a base to comprehend about relationships.
The major advantage that has been related to the book deals with the approach that is
related to change in counselling3. The major highlight of the book has been ability of the
counsellor to initiate positive change. This change will effectively sustain after providing
resolution to existing problems.
I established that this book worked wonders in my ministerial life mostly based on the
reasons that helped me to turn into a counsellor. The book also worked wonders in my
personal life that helped me in several ways.
