SBM1201 Project Plan: TripTastic Cab Application Development

This project plan details the development of a cab application for TripTastic. The project involves a series of processes, starting with requirement gathering and analysis, followed by detailed project planning, design of the app, procurement of resources, infrastructure development, app development, detailed testing, and finally, system deployment and integration. The plan includes a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) with tasks, durations, start and finish dates, predecessors, and resource assignments. It also covers schedule management, including the identification of activities, activity logic, milestones, and critical paths. The project also includes a cost management plan, detailing the cost elements, estimation methods, and budget preparation. The goal is to create a user-friendly cab application that allows customers to book cabs from any location using their smartphones.

Introduction
This project is based on the development of a cab application for TripTastic through the
customers will be able to hire cabs from any location using a smartphone. This application will
be very handy for the users when there are no regular cabs nearby. The users can just open the
app, select destination and search for cabs and one cab for the nearby area will be automatically
booked for them. This project aims to develop this proposed app through a series of process that
has been discussed in this project plan.
2. Project Activities, Schedule, Resource and Milestone Plan
A project schedule is defined as a representation of a breakdown of the project including
the durations of each activity. This process is followed in order to estimate the overall schedule
for the project. Once the project is broken down into individual activities under a number of
phases, each activity is assigned with an estimated duration and the total duration of the entire
project can then be determined by adding up the durations of the activities. Again, this schedule
can be used to assign responsibilities to the project team members. Once the team members are
defined, they can be allocated to each of the activities in the work breakdown structure.
Milestones are specific points in the project that define that closing of a phase or a particular
achievement in the project that is assigned with zero duration. The overall project schedule
including the activities, resources assigned and milestones are shown in the following table.

Cost control is an important aspect of project management and it deals with the control of

activity.
4. Conclusion
It can be thus concluded that the app development project will proceed further with the
schedule developed in this report as well as the costs estimated for the entire project. Moreover,
profit projections can be done using the EVA based on the cost estimations and cash flow
provided in this report.
