The Globe and Mail editorial “Does our feminist Prime Minister truly understand masculinity?”
the author included the greater lengths of Justin Trudeau has proved himself to be a feminist
prime minister. Mr. Trudeau has discussed over the gender impacts, and the editorial also
included a statement by Mr. Trudeau that was female entrepreneurs are better choices when
compared to males. The editorial supports the feminism through a discussion over toxic
masculinity by Mr Trudeau and the way men are unable to show their emotions. The author’s
argument promotes feminism while disgracing the masculinity. The argument included the prime
minister’s attempt to balance legitimate, and the editorial included the men harmful ways to
understand masculinity. For instance violent criminals, and extremists, and realizes the
requirements for men to identify affirmative identity and positive inspiration, for instance
responsible mentors and committed farther (theglobeandmail).
The prime minister did not attempt to finger out the men who were wrong or disgraceful, but try
helping men with overcoming from whirling away from ethical relativism, and adversity. The
reason being the prime minister promoting feminism to a greater extent than the wrong believes
in masculinity that is encouraging inspiring change. According to Trudeau, the boys or the kids
must be raised as feminism and he believes that they must feel responsible to bring change in
nations’ culture of sexism. The editorial also includes his experience to the Alberta school, where
he came up with a question by a 13-year-old boy about how Mr. Trudeau controls his anger, the
reason being the kid was expelled from the school for fighting last year and was looking forward
to avoiding the same happening in future. The prime minister was inspired by the book, “Why
young men.” The book included hazardous allure of violent actions to fraught young males.
He believed that making boys or kids learn to be feminist would help them to gain a sense of
empathy, justice and would be helpful to escape from the struggling pressure for being specific

king of masculine. He wishes to help young men being comfortable about them and being
feminist, who are liable to understand what is right and feel pride over themselves. Moreover, the
editorial supported the feminism through making people understand the benefits of girls having
the same opportunity as boys, and it included to have knowledge of how this could lead to
making everyone more free and equal in society. The prime minister also has been discussed
about the challenges that the Canadian Women are facing.
The editorial also included Mr. Trudeau experience at Manitoba and Saskatchewan, where he
had interaction with high school children regarding the ways to overcome failure. The reviews
and interest of the students were mixed that is some were even unable to sit still and some
seemed to be tuned in and were willing to carry forward the discussing to be more inside out
with prime ministers remarks. At one of the experiences at school, a child raised a question to the
prime minister that have he ever experience the depression and wanted to get motivational ways
to live. This reflected the thought of suicide among the child’s mind, as he seems to be struggling
under the pressure of masculinity believes. Mr. Trudeau also mentioned that he had met men of
his own age to be struggling with heavy subjects over their minds, and he shares his experience
with men confining about anxieties related to fatherhood and separations from wives and were
unable to find moral support from the society and social networks. This was another reason that
Mr. Trudeau promotes feminism and would prefer the boys to rise to be feminism. Moreover,
Mr. Trudeau had initiated a bold move in 2015 regards lead like a feminist and has always been
promoting the feminism (theglobeandmail).
From the report, it can be concluded that the editorial in Globe and Mail by Jamil Jivani
contributed the opinion of Canadian Prime minister, which was promoting feminism and was
against the masculinity. Mr. Trudeau believed in leading like a feminist. He has experienced

various aspect of men and their beliefs towards the masculinity that has moved them towards the
struggling thoughts and anxieties. Moreover, he believed that the kids must learn to the feminist
and enhance empathy justice and would be helpful to escape from the struggling pressure for
being a specific king of masculine. Mr. Trudeau purpose was not to finger the disgracefulness
about masculinity but was trying to help men who are struggling due to these irrational believes
regarding masculinity.
