1OPINION ON STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS
State of the Union Address is the annual address by the president of United States of
America to give the citizens of America a message of unity and the projecting the policies for
future. President Donald J. Trump gave the address on 5th February, 2019. The key highlights
from the address that have made created the impact on the citizens of America are the
announcement related to Border Wall which was opposed by Democrats and also from the
people of Texas. Border Wall is in the manifesto of Republicans but it does have an impact
on the ecological environment but can be a big step to curb the illegal immigrations. The
second big announcement was in form of the meeting with Kim-Jong Un in order to have a
better relation with North Korea. This step is an important part as both the countries are
powered with nuclear weapons and it can reduce the risk of any accidental war situation
which can save millions. The third important announcement was related to the healthcare of
HIV positives and curb the decease. The announcement was there but there was absence of
any roadmap to implement those plans. The President have stayed away from providing any
kind of roadmap about the time of implications for the policies. Though it cannot be denied
that there has been an economic growth under the President Trump. Though President Trump
was accused of not being very fond of the immigrants, the President have emphasized on
making better foreign relations.
