This report identifies and discusses the staffing issues plaguing the Hull and East Yorkshire Hospital NHS Trust, a well-established healthcare provider in the UK. Despite its reputation and technological advancements, the trust faces significant shortages, particularly in elderly and child care services, impacting service quality and patient care. The shortage of doctors, nurses, and junior medical staff affects the monitoring and care of vulnerable patients, including those with Alzheimer's and other age-related conditions. This situation has damaged the hospital's reputation, leading to a decline in patient enrollment. To restore its former standing, the hospital needs to recruit dedicated medical professionals committed to providing high-quality patient care, thereby regaining public trust and improving service delivery. 1ISSUES AT HULL AND EAST YORKSHIRE TRUST
Hull and East Yorkshire Hospital NHS Trust is one of the most trusted and developed
health care trust in the United Kingdom (Dovancescu et al 2017). It have been serving the nation
for more that decades and have introduced many new technologies and methods in the medical
and health care filed. The trust have acquired well renowned name for their services in the
country.
However, with all the brand name and customer loyalty Hull and East Yorkshire Trust
have gained, it still suffers from issues that have affected the service and working at the
hospitals. According to report of BBC, there have been storage of staff in the hospitals in the
elderly section. The shortage of staffs included doctors, nurses and compounders that operate
medical procedure and healthcare services (Gopal, Osuri and Simpson 2015). Professor Mike
Richards, who work for CQC as the chief inspector of hospitals have commented that the
shortage of the staff across the hospitals set by the trust have affected the service that is
presented by them. The patients have felt the need of more staff and doctors for taking care of
them. Though the maternity and critical care are full of staff, the shortage have been seen in the
elderly care service and the child care services.
The issues have taken a toll on the reputation and the service provided by the hospital.
The shortage of junior doctors, who are sent as the first response in cases of emergency and
elderly care service are short in number (Sutton et al 2018). Elderly people needs constant
attention and care. Thus, form the shortage of nurses and doctors have left them from being
monitored and proper care is not being served to them. The elderly section of Hull and East
Yorkshire Trust have patients suffering from alzheimer, high sugar problem, weakening eye
sight and hearing problems. Those kind of people needs constant care as Alzheimer patients
cannot take medicines by their own and are also not able to perform other daily motor

performances (Iacobucci 2018) . These kind of people should not left alone, constant care has to
be provided. Thus, suffering from a bad reputation like this, people in the country are backing off
from enrolling their family members in the hospital. Child care section of the hospital is also
suffering from the shortage of staff. Children are not meant to be left alone in the hospitals where
there are plenty of instruments that could harm the. In such scenarios, the shortage of staff have
left a bad impact on the hospital.
For gaining back their former reputation and brand image, the hospital needs to enroll
and provide employment to new and talented doctors and nurses who are dedicated in the
services and are willing to spend time in taking care of the patients like their own family
member. With fresh faces in the service, the hospital would be able to regain the old service that
they used to provide, through which they were counted as one of the best hospital and center for
health care.
