Jerry Montgomery is the title holder of Trusty Carpets. He is engaged in his profession to sell the
carpets for more than 20 years. His proprietorship is situated in the busy strip mall which gives
Well Paid Profits and Incomes. Though Trusty Carpets is doing really well, Jerry wanted to
make necessary expansion in business as well as become a lot more competitive. For achieving
that goal and objective, an Information Technology solution is drafted which may be greatly
beneficial to Trusty carpets.
The business case presented in this proposal will give the Information technology solution
required for Trust Carpets for implementing the Information Technology which may improve
and enhance the present process of business. Also it will involve the solution that is proposed,
the benefits as well as the needs and requirements. Also, this proposal for business case will
include the alternatives and choices which may also be applied and may be associated to the
position which is recommended. A risk matrix for giving the picture of risk linked with project
along with contingency plans and strategies to mitigate the risk has also been added. The
approaches for management of project and its associated security are also given in business case
along with tables of metrics as well as expected enhancement in the performance.
A persuasive, straightforward and compelling solution for Information technology is drafted and
proposed in the business case. Choosing the solution for the corporation Trusty Carpets may

Background
Trusty carpets is known to be small store for retail purposes in which the carpets are vended to
customers. Trust carpets is doing this business nearly for 20 years. This corporation is held by
Jerry Montgomery. This business is located in centrally located Place near to Strip mall in which
the day’s activities are considered as extremely hectic. This company is having only few
employees for providing the services to its customers. This company owns two employers for
sales and serving the customers in store, a financial accountant on part time basis who controls
and monitors the book of accounting of company and brother in law of jerry, Mike baker who
handles the pricing and installation of Carpets.
The present business model is working till present time but may use a lot of improvements and
technological upgradation which will enable the Stores of jerry carpets to become a part of
technology of 21st century. This present model involve a lot of paper work where the records of
customers, receipts and invoices are all done through papers only. Inventory and stock is
restricted to overstock as well as end pieces through samples and installations. Also, the
advertisement is done via making displays in the showroom of stores and via local newspapers.
Mike baker controls and handles the process of installation of carpet apart from the jerry
Montgomery. Combination of process of installation and order is not yet decided. Many steps
form a part of a current paradigm of business when a consumer places an order for Carpet.
Initially the retail employees give a paper directory given by supplier for choosing the color and
carpet. Once a person selects the color or carpet, Jerry will give a call to the Manufacturer for
determination of price and availability of merchandise. Mike and Jerry will make necessary
decisions for pricing of installation of carpets. In the end, the employees of the store will
coordinate with the installation and customers.
