Overcoming Challenges in E-Portfolio Development for T-shirts at Tesco

INTRODUCTION
Portfolio is used to plan and organize or develop the skills so that they may develop their skills
so that it will be used in future. The current study is also based upon the describing the
challenges that a person faced while developing T-shirt. Therefore, current study describe the
challenges and skills which are required to overcome the challenges so that it will help in the
future as well. Moreover, study also explain the study plan for further 3 years which includes the
skills that needs to be developed.
MAIN BODY
Challenges which I face during e- portfolio of T-shirt
While I making an E-portfolio of T-shirt, initially I was so excited because it was my first
project. Initially I faces different challenges such that Apprentice challenges in which I am did
not have enough knowledge related to innovation. That is why, I did not present the T-shirt in
best innovative way. Further, I did not have enough marketing research knowledge and as a
result, I faces challenges related to same. Moreover, due to lack of enough knowledge related to
branding, I also faces issues related to branding and marketing plan, such that I did not have
good knowledge how to present the product i.e. T-shirt in market. As I know branding is
consider one of the best key marketing practice in which the firm is actually creates a name,
symbol and design so that the customers find the way to recognize the same (Gould and et.al.,
2019). Moreover, this branding also helps me to identify a product and distinguish it from the
other products. I also did not get enough training in order to present the same in market and that
is why, I faces Apprentice challenges.
Though my colleagues get enough training for the same but I faces issues because I am a
fresher and as a result, it affect the overall E-portfolio of T-shirt in opposite way. On the other
side, due to lack of market strategy and marketing plan, I also faces challenges how to present it
in market so that customer makes recognize it by a logo or symbol. In addition to this, I also
faces presentation challenges and it is so because earlier I work on theories only but this time I
deal practically i.e. to introduce E-portfolio of T-shirt in market by Tesco. In the business,
presenting views perfectly in front of others is consider one of the best way to describe what
company actually offers (Rodriguez, 2015. The same we also get in our induction time but I have
some weeks to get the benefit of training where I learn many new things but I lack presentation
skills due to which it become a challenge.

In addition to this, I also realized, for smooth running the operations, it is quite necessary
to have a good knowledge related to every field and I also lack the same. In Tesco, each and
every departments have their own roles and responsibilities and they all work together for
smooth functioning of a business. During the training time, I learn this, but did not have
complete knowledge for the same. That is why, I also faces issues for the same. Such that for E-
portfolio of T-shirt, it is quite necessary to have good knowledge, so that I may easily present the
idea of portfolio of all T- shirt into market so that customers may easily attracted (Laursen,
2015). In the same, due to lack of presentation skills, I also face issue related to oral
communication and that is why, I did not present my views to others.
Therefore, I also analyzed that the design of E-portfolio of T-shirt should be innovative
so that it will be easily attracted by the other customers and also help to present goodwill as well.
As I did not have enough knowledge because I am a Beginner and I also learn that there is a need
to develop different key areas so that I may easily present the E-portfolio of T-shirt in better way
(Schedlitzki, 2019). Beside this, I also realize that the firm has its brand image and there is a
proper interrelationship with other department so that the operations are run in smooth way.
During developing E-portfolio of T-shirt, I analyses that there is a need to develop good
knowledge related to marketing in which I may do competitive analyses. In this, I analyses the
competitive strategy so that I develop innovative ideas in order to grab attention of many
customers.
Lastly, due to lack o marketing and marketing plan, I also faces challenges to set the
target market because people preference is suddenly changes and as a result, I did not set my
target market which may be easily influence. Therefore, I examine that in this modern era,
people frequently changes their demand and as a result, it makes me difficult to identify the
correct target market (Islam, 2016). Moreover, I also faces challenges related to determine the
rival's strategy which affect the overall E-portfolio of T-shirt in opposite way. Overall, these
three challenges i.e. Apprentice challenges, presentation challenge and T- shirt challenges affect
the overall E- portfolio in opposite way and I examine that there is a need to improve skills
related to marketing, branding and finance so that I will take better decision and present the E-
portfolio in better way.

Demonstrating skills during the challenges.
At the starting of E-portfolio of T-shirt, I have faced various challenges which affect my
skills and job role in the business in an effective manner. Those challenges are apprentice
challenges in during the induction week, presentation challenges and T-shirt challenges. This
creates more difficulties for me (Drew, 2018). It is essential for me to not think of what they do
as a job, but rather a career. When you groom and develop skills, they soon learn what they are
doing is more than just a job or a means to an end. In order to handle those challenges in
effective manner here shows some skills which are as follows:
The most important skill is communication skill which is help to me for conveying proper
massages and information to others. I have good communication skill which is conveyed proper
information related to challenges with others. This me and other staff to learn about skills in an
effective manner by creating proper work goals (Mackey and et.al., 2016). There has two types
of communication skills in which one skill is good and another need to improvement. I am weak
in giving presentation in front of whole staff members but with the help of oral communication I
easily handle this challenges for making E-portfolio of T-shirt. The communication skill is more
important for me and for more growth.
Team work is another skill and I have proper and effective team work skills which is
helps to lead properly whole team as well as giving proper direction and suggestion to employee
of Tesco. With the help of these skills, manager of company is appreciate me about giving new
and unique idea to resolve challenges and proper collaboration (Cottrell, 2019). I feel that, I am
not able to collaborate with each together in company, but I make good collaboration with other
departments and staff in an proper manner. On the other side, time management is more required
skill in order to solve E-portfolio of T-shirt challenge in company.
But I am weak in making proper time management of work. This creates more difficulty
for me at the time of work because I am able to divide work and structure in proper manner. I
have good element which goals setting and prioritization of work. This elements are includes in
time management skills because sets your goals high and don't stop till you get there and thinks
are matter more must never be at the mercy of things which matter least. But the another
elements of time management, I am completely weak in those (World Health Organization,
2019). I am weak in self awareness, self motivation and lack of focus. This creates more problem
for me at the workplace in an effective manner. Self motivation is highly important for me

because I think self motivation is more important for each and every people to manage proper
work and making E-portfolio of T-shirt.
I have good meeting skills which is help me to deals challenge that is T-shirt. With the
help of meeting challenges I have handle challenge in appropriate manner. At the time of
meeting regarding E-portfolio of T-shirt I have conveyed best and effective information with
other as well as able to take suggestions from seniors in order to solve those problems in an
effective manner by giving proper result of work (Clifton and et.al., 2016). This helps me out
becoming successful manager in the future.
There are various business skills which are important for management in order to address
mistakes and solve challenges in an effective manner. This creates more effectiveness for
business and for its growth factors. This creates more effectiveness for me and for my growth
(Gould and et.al., 2019). Those business skills are presentation skills, use of excel and word
document. I have good knowledge how to make and use power point presentation in order to
give knowledge through making proper and attractive high eye work of E-portfolio of T-shirt.
This help to me for presenting unique work by using various pictures of challenge and my pint of
view. But I have lack of Excel uses which I have need to improve for work better. In order to
improve skills for making best E-portfolio of T-shirt I need to improve skills for work which are
more important for me.
Action plan.
In order to improve my skills which I feel during the E-portfolio of T-shirt, that have
needed to improve that. An action plan is a document that lists what steps must be taken in order
to achieve a specific goal (Rodriguez, 2015). The purpose of an action plan is to clarify what
resources are required to reach the goal, formulate a timeline for when specific tasks need to be
completed and determine what resources are required. This help me out for managing proper
work form making proper E-portfolio of T-shirt of Tesco in an effective manner. For that here I
include and develop action plan which is as follows:

With the help of this action plan I am able to improve my skills in proper by using related
resources of work as well as action plan (Schedlitzki, 2019). This takes time to set and improve.
This provides proper and effective guideline how to improve skills. For example: in order to
improve time management skills I have to use relevant resource like managing proper schedule
for work in an effective manner.
CONCLUSION
By summing up above, it has been concluded that in order to present E-portfolio of T-
shirt, I faces three main challenges such that Apprentice challenges, presentation challenge and
T- shirt challenges in which I focus on business angle such that branding, finance and operations.

Further, study also concluded that in order to overcome the challenges, I used communication
skills, emotional intelligence, teamwork and time management skills that helps me to take better
decision and also perform the same in better way. Lastly, report also concluded that by using
effective action plan, all the challenges and skills are improved or overcome within three years
so that it will be beneficial for future as well.
