2.1 Case brief
The current cast study emphasis on analysing the economic conditions of Turkey which
despite of setback from recession has recovered adequately and maintained reliable position in
the European Union. The main purpose conducting this case study is to evaluate and analyse the
contemporary problems and issues that are faced by the Turkish government. In this regard,
different problems related to political, economic, religion has been identified. However, the
major political issue that Turkey is facing related to modernizing its overall functioning. Mr.
President aims to make Turkey one of the powerful and significant country of the world. But due
to failure of several strategies and tactics are creating hindrance for the government to build
better base for future development. Still government is trying to develop more civilian friendly
constitution where each and every individual is given equal chance for freedom of expression.
Being a male dominating nation, women faces major concerns in their lifestyle as several
restrictions and limitations are on them due to due Islamic rules and regulation. While on the
other hand, due to increasing illiteracy and unemployment is affecting the course of country in
becoming more improved or enhanced nation as the other associates of EU.
Relatively poor economic conditions are not helping the government to enhance varied
sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing and especially education sector. Teachers and
professionals in education sector are not even getting proper training and development facilities
to enhance the overall system and encouraging and influencing people to educate or learn new
things for better future and growth.
According to the present given case, the major issues has been identified in religion
prospect of the country. However, in which gender inequality is one of the major concern. It is
because, Turkey is more male dominating nation thus, and women are not given valuable
opportunities to grow. Further, people are highly influenced by their religion and regulations
defined by Islam which influence them to avoid legislations set by the government. This indeed
create more uncivilized nation where people believe more on rituals rather than practicality of
situation. In order to resolve such problems government of Turkey is mainly focusing on foreign
investment so that economic problems and other related issues can be handled more effectively.
Further, new judiciary system has been employed in which varied courts have been established
to address different level of problems of people.

2.2 Assumptions
On the basis of given case, several assumptions has been made to carry out the analysis
of case study which are as follows:
Looking at the current position of Turkey it has been assumed that no transformation can
be seen in near future.
In order to maintain its position in European Union, government cannot maintain
relationship with its neighbouring countries like Iran and Iraq.
Constantly increasing foreign direct investment has been assumed as the major source of
improving the overall economic condition of the country in terms of its technological
advancement, sector growth and future development etc.
2.3 Scope of the study
In the present case study, researcher has evaluated the current position of Turkey on the
basis of three major factors political, economic and social. In this regard, different problems have
been identified and to resolve the issues different models and strategies have been recommended
to the Turkish government. Therefore, future scope of study is to evaluate whether the employed
strategies or efforts made by government of Turkey assist in modernizing the nation, improving
the overall trade etc. Furthermore, in future researcher can study on analysing the religion aspect
of country through Hofsetede model so that effectiveness of solutions of religion problems can
be analysed.
