INTRODUCTION
Enterprise resource planning can be defined as a business process management that

the system of various integrated applications for managing the business by automate back and
front office operations that are related with technology, products and human resources. Similarly,
information system refers to study and practical implement of system specifically computer and
telecommunication to store data and information. Technology also evolves development,
maintenance, use of computer system as well as software for processing and sharing relevant
information and data (Rajani and Garg, 2018). This report is composed from point view Hotel
Hilton which is operating there business in hospitality industry at global level. Moreover, there
are various operations performed by management such as customer bookings, financial
management, marketing activities and many more with implement of information technology.
The main aim of Hotel Hilton is to increase their business profits by offering different services
including room and accommodation service, meals and tour operators. Objective of Hotel Hilton
to offer quality of products and services with implement of unique methods. To increase market
share of organisation by managing and delivery good quality of services at global level. Last,
objective of the company is to make better result that is leading company to gain competitive
advantage in market for earning more profits and top position in market. Hotel Hilton perform
large number of operations by engaging more number of individuals. So to manage all operations
and functions in effective manner management of Hotel implement information technology and
Enterprise resource planning such as Web2.0, E-business model and SAP etc. to perform all
operations in decided time period. Further, this report highlights on categories of information
system and ERP system. Benefits of ERP system in real life business and recommendation to
select right methods will also be included in this report.
Categories of information system
Information technology refers to the process, system, software and hardware that is used by
the business for completing its day-to-day operations. In the present scenario, more the time are
implemented by an organisation in information technology more benefits and results are

transaction processing. In the context of Hotel Hilton management implement processing in real
time because it provides processing of data on real time basis. TPS is beneficial for Hotel as it
allow all user to process data on similar time basis. Management information system- MIS is an
most effective information system that is used by organisation for making right decisions by
coordinating and controlling between information and data appropriately. From the perspective
of MIS it is a study and test of individuals, processes and technology that is implemented by
organisation. The major benefit which is gained by management of hotel through MIS is to
generate right reports by implementing right data that assist to make right decision making
process at middle level. It results the operational efficiency of organisation is directly increased.
Decision support system- DSS is an information system which supports business and
organisation action and activities related with decision making. Management level system
performs different functions such as finance relates decisions. Therefore, with implement of right
decisions support system it is easy for management to increase their operational efficiency that
leads to gain right results which leads company for accomplish their aim and objectives.
Example- Hotel Hilton formulate there budget with implement of DSS system which assist
company to reduce unnecessary cost that increases profits for organisation in effective manner.
