Introduction:
With the increasing competition in the market and external reasons which are affecting the businesses of
the UK such as Brexit, all businesses of the UK have affected. And Uber is also facing many issues
including internal and external factors that are affecting its business. So the report includes the key issue
with the suggestion of handling it and also shows the impact of linking CSR to its strategy.
1. The issue Uber is facing and solution:
Uber creates a significant impact since its launching and shown significant growth. But there are many
issues the organization is facing such as scandals, losses, and competitors in the sector. But the key issue
the organization is facing is increasing competition in the market. Since its launching, many other
organizations have started working in the same area that has created a major impact on the market of the
organization. So to retain the customer with the increasing market competition is a big threat and
challenge in front of the organization, especially when it is facing other internal and external issues also
(Fermé et. al., 2018). So the management or leadership is required to think seriously about this and take
some actions so that the current issues can be solved and the organization can retain its market with the
increasing competition. So some points are suggested below working on these points the organization still
can be able to retain its customers and market.
 Knowing the competitor and analyzing the weaknesses and strengths of competitors (Erwan et.
al., 2018).
 Re-assessing the cost by analyzing the competition.
 Focusing on core product
 Focusing on marketing and increasing brand value.
 Providing new services in which the existing customers are interested.
 Planning for the future but caring for the existing customers.
 Maintaining quality of service for customer satisfaction.
 Increasing and advancing ride sharing technology.
 Adopting new technologies in the future.
So these are some options, following these options can reduce the effect of increasing competition in the
area.
2. Importance of linking CSR to current strategy and its benefits for the society and
future generation:
The idea of corporate social responsibility includes the incorporation of environmental and social concern
in the strategy of a corporate. For the organization Uber; the addition of CSR in its strategies will allow it
to play a responsible an important role in the social world. The addition of CSR strategies will affect both
society and the company. There are some strategies that will help the organization-
 The initiatives which are connected to the core business of organization and strategies of the
organization will make an impact on the organization (Verbruggen et. al., 2018). Such initiatives
include food waste reduction for the organization like Uber.

 Support from management and leadership of the organization in CSR strategies will engage other
staff and help to make work more meaningful and also provide help for the employees to
understand the business process.
 It helps to develop the ability of faster actions and develops or brings new information for the
improvement of processes.
 Connecting with the partners through CSR helps to bring new ideas and different skills in the
field.
These are the benefits it provides to the organization and also it also affects the future generation and
society.
3. Effect of Brexit on the Uber-
Brexit have a significant effect on UK firms that are operating in Europe, especially on the multination
firms or organizations. But the CEO of Uber Travis Kalanick denied considering the Brexit as a challenge
for their business.
According to Uber’s CEO, Brexit will not have a high impact on the transportation of the city and the
organization still have a great opportunity. But considering the facts, it surely has some impacts on the
Uber because of changing the jobs and works. And also it will affect the economy of the UK that will
affect all businesses including uber and the impacts of the organization working worldwide would be
higher. And the organization will also be worried about the future relations of Britain with Europe.
But one factor is as the person will look to be self-employed that will increases the no people signing up
as the Uber drivers. This can be a boost for the organization and the organization is looking at it as an
opportunity. Also, the CEO of Uber said in a conference that the organization will continue to serving the
people and have a large scope ahead.
4. Experience of working with the team and challenges and benefits of working in a
team:
Working with a team is always a good experience it allows brainstorming with improving collaboration.
So the experience of working with the team was great as it improves presentation with the involvement of
all that gives new ideas and all played their role. You always learn something new when working with a
team. Working with a team provides many advantages as

Challenges:

 Requires equal distribution of work and responsibilities.
 Blaming others when things do not go in your favor.
 Sometimes ideas and perspectives of a team member may clash.
 Work of a member affects the whole team.
 One member desiring to outshine others.
 Conflicts of ideas affect decision making and result in loss of efficiency (Grimm et. al., 2018).
So these are some advantages and challenges of working with the team. For better results and good
teamwork, everybody should play their role.

The Uber is facing many issues such as scandals in the organization losses and dependency on the
workforce so in the report the issues Uber are facing are discussed with the suggestion for effectively
handle these issues. CSR has become a necessity for the organization to adopt it so the report includes its
