INTRODUCTION
This individual report is based on the uber company, which is American multinational
transportation network company. This report will include the challenge that Uber is facing with
the help of the management theory. This also going to be explained the Corporate social
responsibility within the Uber company. Further more the impact of the Brixit on the Uber
company will be identified. Lastly reflection of own experience of working in a team, what
challenges have to face will be described.
MAIN BODY
1 key issues that Uber is facing
Uber is facing the problem of workplace culture. As its forwarded leaning approach
created the significant workplace cultural challenges for the company. This had affected the
business and profit share of the company in the market and will also harm the future of the
company as well. In this cultural issues include that, aggressive growth and intense competitions,
fail to make prioritize the compliance, also have to face problem to the public as well, because
lack of internal transparency, another cultural problem is that lack of coordination and
knowledge sharing among the employees of the Uber company that can help to solve the cultural
problem of the Uber. Another problem of the Uber in its cultural environment is the gender
discrimination, women are treated badly in the company. This affect the brand reputation of the
company (Thelen, K., 2018).
For this Uber can apply the management theory of Hofstede's cultural dimentation theory
of the management culture of the uber company. This Hofstede cultural theory helps the
management of the company by providing the tool to analyse the different cross cultural
behaviour of the different individual. This theory of the management include the different factors
like:
Power distance — This refers to the inequality exist in the organization, as the Uber have the
inequality on the basis of the gender and lack of transparency in the company. This power helps
to maintain the equality in the company.
Individualism and collectivism – This helps to maintain the connections and sharing of
knowledge in the company of Uber. That helps remove this lack of cooperation in the
employees.

Masculinity — This masculinity refers to maintain and create the equality between men and
women in the on the basis of their work success.
Uncertainty avoidance – This refers to the uncertain situation that the customers have to face
because of the Uber in its services. Rules and orders of the company for the customers may
change and can create the healthy culture in the company.
2 Corporate social responsibility of the company
Corporate social responsibility play important role in any business activity, that are being
created in order to improve the society by their strategies. This CSR strategies helps to improve
the image of the company in the market, increase the brand image ans helps to saving then cost.
Increase the customer's engagement towards the company. Also helps to improve the society by
its strategies like to reduce the carbon and pollution that excreted by its vehicles. Uber apply
different corporate social responsibility in their company such as:
Women to Uber -In t his strategies they try to empower the women and try to create equality in
the market. With this they try to give massage that there is no difference between men and
women (Tilt, 2016).
Uber able — with the help of this, Uber management give support and strengthen the
employees of their organization by increasing their living standard. Also support them in mental,
physical, and emotional disability.
Aprt from these, there are many more strategies are being created by Uber to make
improvement in the society and that help the business of the Uber in the market by increasing its
brand image and reputation among the customers.
3 Impact of the Brixit
Brixit can have the great impact on the Uber company and its networking and
transportation services (Dhingra and et.al., 2016). At the time of the Brixit, many employees
could have to leave their jobs as to participation of the Britain country, many have to move from
their country. At the time of the Brixit, company also have to suffer from the laws and regulation
that, what country's rules and regulations they have to follow, so that accordingly they can make
their strategy to make improvement in their services for the customers. Uber transport company
have to suffer from the strike as well, that employees of the Uber went on strike, then the
company could have face the employee turnover problem at the time of the Brixit.

As to move from different country and to different place, people consider booking ride from
Uber. This will help the Uber transportation company to boost its networking and transportation
services at the time of the Brixit.
4 Reflection
While working in a team I have gain different experiences, such as have to face many
problems regarding t the behaviour of the team members and lack of collaboration and
contributions in the team. This create the problem while preparing the strategies and making the
plan for the Uber. As different individuals have different skills and mind set this creates the
problem to clarify the goals responsibility of them. Apart from the challenges, I got to learn
different things, like got chance to lead team effectively and applied different theory to maintain
the culture and relation among them. Working in a team helps to achieve the task easily, as every
members have their specific role, they have played very well (Davies and Studnicka, 2018).
CONCLUSION
From the above report it has been concluded that, Uber is facing the challenge of the
cultural issue in their organization. For this, they can apply the Hofstede cultural dimensions
theory that will help to remove the issue of the company. It also been summarized that, uber
apply the different strategies for the Corporate social responsibility, in order to make
improvement in the society. It has been analysed the impact of the Brixit on the services and
profit of the Uber. Lastly reflection has been given to share the experience of working in a team.
