INTRODUCTION
Management can be defined as a system which is related to coordination in the
organisation and establishing the function in an appropriate manner so that the resources can be
used in accordance with the goals and objectives of the firm. In context of current business
scenario management and operation include different activities such as planning decision making
controlling and coordinates in order to achieve the business objectives (Benzaid and Taleb,
2020). In context of the current report, it is identified that management is the part of organisation
which help in utilisation of resources and performing the function according to the requirements.
Relation to the report it is based on the case study of Uber. Uber is an application based
transportation network which provides taxi services and rental cars to the customers. It is an
American company which offer cab facility food delivery and various other businesses in order
to provide facilities to the customers (Blanding, 2020). The report consist discussion about the
role of leader and manager within the organisation as well as the role of leader of manager which
is applied to different situation according to the theories of leadership and approaches. There is
also a discussion about operation which are required to be performed in order to bring quality
services within the organisation. Along with this there is discussion about various operation in
management and factor affecting the business environment in context of operation management
and decision making.

Operation can be defined as a function within the organisation which is related to using
the business practices in accordance with the organisational needs. It help the management in
achieving the goals and objectives as well as utilising the resources in an efficient manner so that
organisation can maintain productivity level as well as increased profitability within the market
according to its status. In context of this manager and leader within the organisation play
important roles in for achieving the objectives in an efficient manner. Some of these roles and
responsibilities played by manager and leader within the organisation are discussed below.
Manager: a manager can be defined as a person within the organisation who is responsible for
controlling and administrative different functions as well as performing this function in
accordance with the organisational goals. In context of the current scenario of over the

as well as mark the strategies according to the requirements. A manager is a person who exercise
different function as in order to achieve the objectives as well as help in managing responsible

employees as well as providing a vision in accordance with the organisational objectives. It can
influence the other employees and their activity by maximizing their efforts in order to achieve

about organisation goals and minimising the wastage of resources by using appropriate tools and
techniques. In context of uber, man leader within the organisation used to play number of rules in
total quality management where it is used to guide the employees where organisation can

duty in order to achieve its business objective by involving the customers and employees. Here
organisation provide number of festival counter free cab services which help in fulfilling
corporate social responsibility of organisation towards customer and society (Janni, 2020).
Ethics: ethics can be defined as a moral principle of a organisation which are related to
behaviour of organisation in order to make an appropriate code of conduct. In context of over it
is following number of ethics where organisation used to take responsibility for customer and
employees. Continuous increment within the demand organisation is facing number of laws
shoes which impact on organisational functioning worldwide. In order to maintain the function it
is using number of policies which will minimise the negative impact of these functions and
perform the organisational operations in an effective manner (Kidd, 2020).
