Personal Statement
As an experience individual, I have a strong aptitude for management related subject because I
have completed Higher national certificate and Higher national diploma from CECOS College,
UK. I am 36 year old and working at McDonald's for last 3 years. So being a graduate holder I
have enough experience in management relate courses and time management skills. Now I want
to do TOP UP with Ucas College in the same field of business so that I will able to attain my set
goals. As I work as a Crew member at McDonald's, in which I prepare food and at the front
counter help customer throughout their ordering process. From my young age I want to be good
in management and that is why, I have already set a clear goals, so to attain the same I want to do
a Top up.
I have a strong communication skill which is reflect from my job position because as a
crew member I mostly do public dealing like taking order etc. Also, I have a strong time
management skills and know how to organize the task in my field. Further, during my HNC in
Cecos college, I learn personal skills such as analytical skill, problem solving and adaptability
which will help in my professional. Also, I have a strong leadership skill that is required in the
real life world. Such that I use this skill in my career during McDonald's because we are working
in a team and chances of conflict increases. That is why, having a strong leadership skill will
help me to attain the define aim. Moreover, I also posses a strong critical thinking abilities that is
also required in the future time. I also posses ICT skills because most of the work in McDonald's
is based upon advance technology and as per the current situation, I also feel that having basic
knowledge of ICT will help me to stay ahead in the competition.
Throughout my work experience, I have had an opportunity to work with many different
groups of people and this will help me to learn new things and improve existing skills as well. It
was a significant learning experience and made me evaluate myself and better understand my
strength and skills. During my 2 years in Cecos College, I always participate in all the co-
curricular activities so that it will help me to work in team building programs. So, I am looking
to apply for the top up in business management field so that I will more focused on getting
degree level skill and enhance the knowledge specific to the subjects. Moreover, it will help to
take me forward in the chosen career path. Also, to do Top up will further assist me to become
an effective manager and leader where I got many benefit in my own career. So, this is where

my knowledge can be of great help. I am also looking forward to understanding challenges
which may come my way. Hence all of these will help me become successful in life.
