Hospitality industry, has been playing a crucial role for the different economies in all over
the world. This report specifically going to show the working of hospitality industry, what
opportunities and individual can get when it comes to career development and so on. Along with
this, assessment will also put light on different experiences, training and qualifications that are
required by buy an individual who is looking forward to get into the hospitality industry. In the
early 21st century, there were many global corporate hotel chains merge with each other like
intercontinental hotel, Holiday inn, Crowne plaza, Marriott, Accor hotels, hotel, and so on. In the
year of 2015 the first world hotel which was expanded within in Malaysia that consists with 7351
rooms and considered to be the largest hotel in all over the globe (Adeola and Ezenwafor, 2016).

This industry has affected the economy, living standards of individuals, entertainment
aspects and so on within both negative and positive sense. On the other hand, it has been
analysed that hospitality industry has been in nearly old as humanity where individuals lived in
caves and now it has turned into inns, staging post, resorts, motels, hotels and so on. Particularly,
there are around 187000 hotels that are delivering number of services to customers in relation to
lodging accommodation and so on. Including this, hospitality industry can be defined as a

of all of these business organisations along with the location in which they are operating are

Willard Marriott and Alice Marriott. Marriott International is is headquartered at Bethesda,

brands and 7003 properties among different territories and countries 131. There are number of

rentable rooms. Also, company is headquartered at Denham, Buckinghamshire. There are
number of areas or countries in which Holiday Inn is delivering its lodging and other service-
related services and these areas are America, middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe, Australia
and so on. On the other hand, it consists of different brands among different names like Holiday
inn hotel and suites, Holiday Inn Resorts, Holiday Inn Select, Holiday Inn Club Vacations,
Garden Court, Holiday Inn Express and so on) (Anderson and Xie, 2016).
Accor Hotels: this hotel company was founded in the year of 1967 by Paul Dubrule and
Gerard Pelisson. It is one of the finest French multinational hospitality business organisations
that consist of various vacation properties, franchised and managers different hotels as well.
Over 100 Nations with almost 4,800 hotels this company is offering services like lodging and so
on with the help of 280000 staff members. There are number of segments in which this hotel
chain performs business and some of these are: midscale, luxury, premium, economy and so on.
Intercontinental hotel group: one of the famous British multinational hospitality company
e which has around 842749 rooms among more than 5600 hotels. Organisation is dealing within
