1.1 Definition
Communication is referred to as an act of sharing thoughts, information, feeling and ideas
with other (Pollard 2019). The different components associated to communication include a
sender, receiver and a communication channel. The processes of communication start with
ideation. Then the sender sends the message to the recipient through a communication channel.
As soon as the receiver receives the message the receivers decodes the message and tries to
understand the information send from the sender (Delerue and Sicotte 2017). Different types of
communication processes are there such as upward, downward, horizontal and open
communication. Based on the scenario the sender and the receiver decide which specific type of
communication is applicable (Kerzner 2019).

trip to Uganda”.
The communication tools applicable for the project are email, telephones, web conferencing and
online collaboration (Joslin and Müller 2016). The stakeholders involved in the project are
project manager, managing director, operation director, students, marketing director, project
sponsor; the medical centre hotels transport companies, restaurants and insurance companies.
1.5 Explanation on how this communication style in applicable in “
trip to Uganda”
Each of the project stakeholders is important for the project. Therefore, there has to be
proper communication between all the stakeholders. The verbal communication is applicable for
the project to keep all the project stakeholders informed about its current status and progress of
as well. Verbal communication will give opportunity to all the project team members including
students to share their points of views and opinions with others. If any problem is occurred then
that can also be easily reduced and even resolved with proper verbal communication tools like
face to face meeting, emails, web conference etc.
The purpose of the trip is to make all the 30 students engaged with the academic program
and make them feel interested in sustainable business. The trip will be ethical and successful
completion of the trip will help to keep the students engaged with the course work. Verbal
communication is important for the project because it is time saving, cost saving, obtains
feedback or response very quickly. It will give clear understanding on new ideas. This style is
reliable for the students and stakeholders. Verbal communication is essential for the Trip to

2. Methodology in project management
2.1 Introduction on Methodologies in project management
In order to achieve project goals and planned results within the pre defined project budget
and schedule. A project manager needs to use proper project management methodology to
prepare, plan and implement any project (Esteki, Gandomani and Farsani 2020). Different types
of project management methodologies are there such as agile Waterfall, Prince2, spiral etc
(Kononenko and Lutsenko 2017). In other words, project management methodology is defined as
a model used to employ project design, plan and implementation. The pros and cons of the
methodologies are elaborated in the below section and also a conclusive evidence is presented
which implies that in order to develop and implement the Trip to Uganda project, agile
methodology is best suited.

Definition
It is a sequential software development life cycle model that helps to divide a large
project into small segments (Rehacek 2017). In this model before completion of one stage the
very next stage cannot get started. In other words, there is no presence of activity over lapping.
