In academic career, personal and professional development are the two key terms that
concerns with the improvement and enhancement of academic skills and competencies by
capitalisation of different academic activities and events. For a student in an academic life it is
very important to pay attention and focus upon personal development in order to gain
professional development (Cathro, O’Kane and Gilbertson, 2017). It is immensely compulsory
for a person to carry out self reflection on the skills and development to recognise the events that
carry favourable outcomes along with the ones that act as weaknesses and requires improvement.

While performing over the module and workshop exercises it has been very immense learning
and development experience for me. This whole experience has assisted me to boost my current
existing skills as well as my competencies. This was also useful to me complete my required
assigned tasks and assessments on the set timelines. As part of the concept of personal reflection,
I have encountered that I possess many qualities that has been developed over the course of time.
Those skills are communication skills, time management skills, critical thinking, analytical skills,
motivational skills, management skills and much more. However, I timely conceded that among
all the skills there is one skill that is my specific quality that is unique, powerful and stood out in
glooming my overall learning and experience throughout the module and workshops. In this
relation, I noticed that my management skill is my quality that I also contemplate as my key
strength. For me having management skills is like a tool that will help to achieve my all tasks
and goals effectively on time. Having management skills means the capabilities or art of
planning, organizing, monitoring, directing and controlling of the activities in most appropriate
and simple manner. In addition to all, this quality has given me scope to effectively utilise the
available resources to me in the most efficient manner so that they can assist me timely in
completing my end goals as per my pre-set targets of personal and professional life.

various concepts to carry the personal reflection in better manner for the future purpose. Another
