Abstract
The report is based on the designing of the user interface that is based on the application of the
online booking ticket system of the cinema that is named as Projection Cinemas. The design of
the application is created so that the user can appropriately understand the features and
functionality of the application that is created. The application design is created by using a user
interface designing tool named as Balsamiq. For the designing of application, it is essential to
follow the design principles of the interface designing. The design of the “Projection Cinemas” is
created by taking help and recommendations from already existed designs so that new and
multiple features can be added in the design so as to make it more appropriate. For making an
optimized design all the principles were read and understood properly and then implemented on
the design. The output of the developed design is the notification of confirmation of the ticket
booking. After discussing and eliminating the flaws and errors from the design, an appropriate
and error-free design with multiple functionalities is created. The help of an application named
as Cinema City mobile application is taken for developing the Projection cinemas that helped in
adding more functionality in the design.

Introduction
The report consists of the assessment item 5 of the overall assignment that is about the
application designing of the user interface. The design follows all the heuristic principles of the
user interface designing and the application is based on the online movie ticket booking system
that is named as “Projection Cinemas”. This application has multiple features of online booking
of the tickets, payments, parking booking, and many others. So this assessment contains the
application of the cinema and the design is created by using the Balsamiq tool in which all the
functionalities are added and linked properly so that the user can understand the functionality
easily. By designing the application on the Balsamiq, the developer gets the prototype and he
gets the idea of the application by which he can develop the application. So this report is created
in order to provide a reflection of the work that is carried out. Some of the ideas are taken from
an already existing application named as Cinema City mobile application. The overall
application follows the heuristic principles so that the design can be optimized and effective for
the user’s to understand the application (Jimenez et al., (2016, September).

User interface design for your application
The design that is created is based on the online ticket booking and the name of the application
that is designed is the “Projection Cinemas”. The user interface design helps in providing the
interaction among the system as well as the user that will provide the user-friendly environment
and helps the user to understand the application easily. This design is created by taking care of
all the rules and principles of the user interface designing so that the design can be as optimized
as possible. The user interface of the Projection Cinemas is simple to understand the application
and its purpose. This design caught the attention of the user by having an additional feature of
car parking details and booking. A traditional application does not have this feature that can save
the time of the user by already reserving the parking area so this design is providing this feature
that can attract more people as well as the printing of the ticket for the movie as well as for
parking if in case user lost the ticket. By just adding some details user can get his ticket printed
(Fu et al., (2016)).
The processes that are included in this are the requirement, design, prototype, and evaluation.
These processes are iterative and kept running in a loop starting with the understanding the
requirements, designing the application according to the requirements, then implementation of
the design are done and a prototype is developed and at last after completion, evaluation of the
project is done to get sure that requirements are met properly.
How my design meets the user's requirements and enhances their experience
The user requirements of the Projection Cinemas mainly are Comprehensive, feedback as well as
Control. All these are the major user requirements that are discussed here in detail as well as how
they are meeting with the proposed design:
Comprehensive refers to the system that helps the user to understand the visualization concept of
operating the steps that are fundamental for the process as well as for the system. The proposed
design has an easy and simpler design that helps the user to navigate and understand the
application properly.

Feedback functionality is an essential feature that needs to be added in the application as it helps
the developer to get to know about the interaction of the user as well as the proposed system. By
using feedback the users can provide the experience of using the application and according to the
feedback, the developer can update and improvise the design of the application for enhancing the
user experience. The proposed design consists of the feedback option after booking the ticket
that will help the user to provide the feedback so that the application can be improvised.
Controls refer to the control of the application by the user, as there is not necessary that user
need to navigate from page to another in a particular manner, the user can jump on to any page
wherever he wants as the whole control of the application is with the user. The user can select
any seat, can choose any date and time according to the user’s suitability and navigate on any
page with the help of previous and forward arrows that are present on the screen. The proposed
design allows the user to navigate and select anything that is present in the application (Mary et al.,
(2018)).
What factors influenced my design, how they influenced it and why
As discussed in the above paragraph that the proposed solution of online ticket booking is
meeting all the user requirements of the system appropriately. The use of heuristic principles
provided the great help in designing the application interface as it provided the proper guidelines
and basic points that need to cover while designing the application. It provides an easily
understandable design that can be used to make the design simpler for better understanding of
the user. There are various competitors in the market that provide almost similar functionalities
and features to attract more customers (JAGANATH & KUMAR (2018)).
Discussion on similar interfaces
The competitors in the market are available that have similar design and can provide similar
features to the user so as to attract them. There are multiple competitors available so it is
necessary to add some unique feature so that the user can get attract and benefits can be raised.
The idea that is taken for updating the design is from Cinema City mobile application. This
application is one of the tough competitions that are based on the online booking system.

Conclusion
The conclusion of the above report is that the overall application is user-friendly and flexible to
use. The user can use the application freely with no limitation. The application follows the
heuristic principles that helped the application in getting more optimized and simpler. This
application is created by taking help from other existing application also but has its own features
as well. The major competitor of the application is the Cinema City mobile application that is
based on a similar concept and some idea is taken from this application also.
