INTRODUCTION
The United Kingdom is the world largest hub for business. The UK is a group of England, Scotland, Wales,
and Northern Ireland. Running a successful business is a tough task in anywhere in the world but talking
about the UK there are various factors and challenges that has to be faced by the organizations. They
have to face both internal and external challenges or uncertainties in the business that might affect the
operational activities. The organization has to analysis about the external challenges and also study
about the rapid changes in the business environment. In this assignment, discuss the problems and
challenges faced by UK based organizations. Identify the challenges, analysis of their impact on the
business and provide appropriate solutions.

Q1. Impact of the external world on business decision making
A business profile is looks developing on the report but due to some internal and external
environment business affects too much. Some factors which may cause the external business
environment are changes in need of consumers, foreign trade barriers, the advancement of
technology and also some big issues like GDPR and impact from BREXIT on businesses. There
are different challenges and uncertainties are always there to make suffer the business. Identify
two major challenges face by the organizations in the UK are followings as:
GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) GDPR is regulation in European Union (EU) and
European Economic Area (EEA) under 2016/679 is EU law on the protection and privacy of all
individual’s and consumers information. The role of this law in the European area is to make
proper arrangements and major work is to protect data applies in any business in the UK. The
biggest issue for the UK based businesses is to compliance under the GDPR regulation
otherwise, businesses can be fined around 4% of the previous turnover. There are some key
challenges facing by the organizations through GDPR are followings: Assent from consumers-
Business should be able to consent with customers about using their data for any purpose. It
should be recorded in auditable forms for the presenting if it requires. This document is
required to show and to prove that there is no misleading of this information in any
intermediary (Craig D., 2019). The organization has a burden to take care of all these consent
forms and always ready to assist peoples for withdrawal of their consent, it affects more to
make decisions. Assent from employees: Businesses needs to be identifying that the consent
between the employees and organization should be clear, employers need to behave legal
authority to hire process of employees in the business. Organizations have carrying personal
data of employee and they have to maintain the circumstances (Craig D., 2019). Assent
assurance from third-party: Business has to deal with external factors for increasing
sustainability in the market. Now there is some third party involvement for marketing,
advertisement and promotional activities for the product and services. Sometimes, the third
party organizations are generally involved with the breaching the assent and business need to

make a proper structure of personal information of customers and follow all aspects (Craig D.,
2019).
BREXIT: It means British and Exit is pull-out UNITED KINGDOM (UK) from EUROPEAN UNION
(EU). It has been started in 2016 for separation of Britain from the European Union (EU) (Clarke
et al, 2017). There are two main reasons of the United Kingdom leaving European Union was
their public wants the power of a country to control its own government and the public vote for
immigration to leave their country, this is for generating employment for its own public.
International and domestic business is more affected form this action, there are various
challenges which make an effectual impact on business, it reduces the future productivity of UK
and it majorly effects to the increase in cost and reduces the sales of the well-organized
companies (Clarke et al, 2017).

Impact of external uncertainties: Business uncertainty is the only critical things for the
organization to manage. External business factor includes unavailability of resources, political
influence in the business, foreign trade barriers make changes in tax rates, some other issues
related with the regulations of GDPR and each and every business in the UK knows the impact
or BREXIT which reduce the sale and incur more cost. Form the external challenges business has
to make different arrangements which are taking too much cost, this also impacts on the
internal operational activities of the business (Craig et al, 2017). Uncertainties create a negative

environment within the organization and for decision making. From the above discussion;
external uncertainty makes sure that business decisions are not able to predict, how the market
reacts on the decisions taken from the businesses (Craig et al, 2017).
Solutions for uncertainties: It is not easy to manage and facing challenge and external business
uncertainties but business should not forget his vision and purpose, it reminds that it can be
regained by the other sources in the market (Lechler, 2012). The business plan should be
prepared for the uncertainties from the outside, it helps to manage all things and recover from
the damages. Uncertain problems and challenges only manage through the effective planning
and essential strategies, so organization is able to face challenges and precise dynamic
structure. The study provides results that the uncertain challenges majorly impact on the cost
of product and services, cost-reduction plans and strategies should be there at the time of
emergency to sustain the business. Communication needs to be in a proper manner at the time
of uncertainties in the business. SWOT analysis and other approaches find a way to resolve the
situation (Lechler, 2012).

Q2. Planning your career
A career that provides an opportunity to grab, improve and provides efforts to the organization.
Career object is to choose that industry where the work will make your skills sharp and improve
the chances of development. In today's world, Travel and Tourism or Hospitality Industry is
rapidly grooming. The hospitality industry is quite flexible from the market fluctuations and
which more important the feeling of work should be satisfied. Peoples always needed to stay,
eat and entertainment, they travel from one place to another place in a very short period and
also hospitality has huge sub-sectors.
Role of HR in career choice: Human resource department roles are to provide effective
mentoring for the choice of career. HR has overall responsibility to provide an effective path in
the development of the future. There are several functions of the HR process. Basically
providing direction and guidance for the betterment of career are the main roles of HR. Human
resource department is basically working for the analysis of employees and detect the essential
and required skills. Sometimes there are necessary to observe the person for the completing
whole process.
In the Hospitality business, the legal department is an essential part of the organization for
making effective decisions. There is a requirement of legal advisory for resolving external
challenges and managing the external challenges. The legal department is work for the
development of skills and analytical skills. The hospitality sector is very vast, there are several
sub-divisions which is located into individual line so, that there is a requirement of legal
advisory.
As we know in the above study that every industry have a perfectly competitive market which is
continuously growing. Hospitality has a wider field and there are various analyses in different
paths. Hospitality is a very efficient business, it generates maximum revenue from the market
compare with others it generates more. A career in hospitality is very much useful and for long
term sustainability. Hospitality business provides very much pays more comparative to the

other sector pays. Incentives and other remuneration are pay at more quantity. Overall
comparison with another sector, hospitality works more rapidly to develop and make sharp
their skills and develop the career. Before joining the hospitality industry, peoples join cafes
restaurant and get experience to enter in Hotels accommodations. Industry belongs from the
different sectors and some of them are totally depended on their own.

CONCLUSION
In this assignment, contained overall information about the external factors of uncertainties, as
we per the study the external uncertain challenges impacts and their results which will make
more difference among the management. Problems and challenges are flexible with the
situation and dynamic. Findings of the studies, there are different challenges and uncertainties
are always there to make suffer the business. Identify two major challenges face by the
organizations in UK GDPR and impact from BREXIT on businesses. At last, A career that provides
an opportunity to grab, improve and provides efforts to the organization. Career object is to
