Introduction
Business law means those laws which is used in order to develop business
organization as per the legal framework present within country. The law allows
guidelines formed in relation to various functions present within an organization. Also
business law has provided legislation that has been formed over moderating
business functions. Through business law goals and objectives set by an
organization has been achieved within time limit specified for it. The law makes
sustainability achieved in various process that is related over business organization.
Scope of business law is wider in nature as it impacts business organization directly.
Nature is dynamic of such laws as it impacts business growth. The reports is based
upon law that is used within legal system of UK. Further, in this discussion is done
over various kinds of source that used within formation of law. In the end law making
process of United kingdom has been explained with employment laws.
Part 1: Classifications of Law
Define laws and identify the respective legal systems in the UK
Laws means those parts of legal system which is used in order to deal with
various aspects which is present within society. The law has been using various
legislation which makes legal structure within an country improved effectively. These
covers various legislation which are present in the form of acts that has been formed
in dealing with various legal problems that disturbs individual's living. Under United
Kingdom major law that exists within society are civil and criminal law. The law helps
in dealing upon legal functions within society(Holz-Rau and Scheiner, 2019).
Explanation with examples the following as means of classification of
laws in the English Legal system
a) Civil Law:
Civil law are the laws that are based upon individual's aspects which takes
place within society. The law has been dealing upon private issues and problems
faced by an individual living within society. Also civil law has been formed to develop
understanding upon factors which causes private crime to take place in society. It
has thrown lime light upon behavioral patterns existing within an individual existing
within society. Through civil law major impact is paid upon wrong that has been
conducted by an individual living in society. This makes justice served in impact
manner. The major impact regarding civil law is covered within civil procedure code

that helps in serving justice related to civil cases. Under civil procure code different
process is understood in effective way. Common laws are also used in civil laws to
mark out appropriate decision within an case in which statutory civil law fails over
providing justice. These laws helps in securing justice in relation to matters related to
property, law of torts, contract law and employment law. Also civil law has formed
various kinds of important principles which has helped in procuring justice in relation
to private law. It is different from criminal law. Second it means it is an civil code
based legal system(Kim, Jeong and Yoon, 2016).
b) Criminal Law:
Criminal law are those laws within which various aspects in relation to crime
takes place within society. It helps in identifying elements that increases crime within
society. The laws holds ability to impact public at large dealing upon criminals
performing activities causing chaos within a country. Further, law deals with crime
through providing legislation or acts within which punishments has been mentioned
regarding crime taking place in society. Criminal law offenses are called crime under
the law. In this criminal procedure code has been followed that defines about
procedure in relation to proceedings and trial with investigation required to be done
while solving criminal cases. The laws covers about offenses like assault, murder,
kidnapping, rape, extortion and mob bleaching helping in serving justice in its real
sense. These laws handle psychotic people and criminals in appropriate or effective
manner.
In criminal law court used criminal procedure code which covered various
process with different trials and proceeding . The different legislation which has been
formed by these laws helps the court to punished criminals with the penalties in
accordance to their offense. These laws helps the society to develop public safety
and security in relation to criminal cases
Explanation of the role of the following Courts in the English Legal
system
High Court:
High court is an important part of judicial system of United Kingdom. The court
handles all kinds of cases based upon civil and criminal law. As per judicial system
of UK it is second highest court of appeal. Their are three divisions within it which are
Chancellery bench , Family bench and Queen's bench. Queens bench handles
various kinds of criminal case and provide judgment in relation to it. Then comes

chancallory division dealing within civil cases or private law issues. Third division is
family dealing with issues related to marriage and child born out of it. Further,
division has reduced complexity within English legal system. Also High Court has
been given power to make rules applied within lower courts which helps them in
functioning properly (Liu and et. al. , 2017).
Supreme Court:
This court is the very first court which is based upon legal system which helps
in passing judgment through applying relevant law within it. The court is known as
protector of constitution and fundamental rights making enhancement of legal
system of United Kingdom. The court is known as protector of constitution and
fundamental rights helping in enhancement of legal system of United Kingdom.
These courts has been given various powers to act in relation to justice served in
more effective manner. Supreme Court can thrash judgment passed by lower court
when it has failed to provide justice. There are various powers that has been given to
Supreme Court which includes quasi judicial functions that makes legal committees
formed for dealing upon such cases. Through common law new law has been
formed making justice served in real sense.
Part 2: Source of law
Explanation of Case Law as a source of laws
Case laws are one of the most important source which has been used in order
to form new laws which is more effective in nature that helps in forming strong law.
These source helps in covering any kind of loopholes that exists within statutory law .
Also this is an important source which makes new laws formed in more effective
manner and through this justice is served in its real sense. Also they use common
law principle which makes which makes case understood in detail by making legal
system strong in more effective way. In this facts, issues and legislation is covered
that helps in solving different issues related to judiciary making impact created in a
way to provide justice. This makes laws applied in its real sense making principles of
justice served(Park and LaFrombois, 2019).
Explanation of the process of making Legislation
Legislation is an important source which is used in order to form permanent
law that are statuary in nature. This makes statutory laws used regarding relation
upon various issues impacting society. In order to makes laws formed three reading

process is used which makes development of legal structure within a country.
Through this justice is served by improving judicial functions.
The meaning and examples of Delegated Legislation
Delegated legislation means those kind of process which is included in
administrative work. This has been formed through passing ordinance in particular
situation within which executives cannot directly interfere within the matters. This
makes burden reduced by allowing power segregated through enhancing legal
system and deal with crime in effective way. This makes burden reduced by allowing
powers segregated upon making applicability within legal system possible. This is
helpful in making burden reduced which allows segregated applicability of legal
system in possible manner. Example in relation to delegated legislation is, ministry
exercises power of applying emergency and can also be applied with the help of
Privy Council(Pennock, Poland and Hancock, 2016).
Part 3: UK law making process:
Employment Law
Employment laws are the laws that has been formed in order to deal with
various aspect which is related to issues that is faced by employees in an
organization. These laws are important as it helps in making employees attain justice
in relation over issues that has been faced by them. Under the laws various kinds of
legislation is used which is based upon equality, employees rights and dismissal of
employees. The act that has been formed are Equality act 2010, employees right act
1996 and National minimum wages act 1989.
Statutory Duties of Employers to their employees
There are various kinds of duties employer that has been explained as
follows:
 One of the most important responsibility of employer is health and security of
employees which is one of the most important duty that has to be followed by
employer within an organization making development of health care policies
possible.
 Wages of employee's this is another important duty of employer which is an
proper legal structure. It is based upon wages which has to be given to
employees should be given on time.

 Employee's requires to treat equal manner and no discrimination should be
done. This increase diversity within work place which makes unity developed
within an organization.
Wrongful Dismissal and Unfair Dismissal Actions
Under law unfair dismissal has been explained within Employees Right act
1996 which explains that employee cannot be dismissed without any valid reason in
relation to it. An employee can be dismissed in case of fraud, theft or violation of
ethical code of conduct. Also the act has defined about those factors which include
various aspects making employee's sustainability increased. Also in this prior notice
is required to be given to employees before terminating them in any manner.
Conclusion
From the above discussion it is concluded that business laws are those laws
that has been used in making business organization formed in more effective
manner. As per the report civil and criminal law has been discussed with various
aspects of these laws. Further, legislation, delegated legislation and case law as
sources of law has been explained. In the end employment law with duties of
employer towards employee is explained with wrong full dismissal of employee.
