INTRODUCTION
The child poverty is referring as the situation which is related with the children who is
associated from the poor families and often they are orphans which show their growing up with
the scarce or the non-existent providing the aspect which is based in the resources. There are
various of causes which is related with the child poverty which cannot be separated from the
those which is related with the adult poverty. The expenses associated in the rising of children is
one of the most reason which is usually fall into the context of poverty with the losses of job and
other (Besser, Morita, and Schwarz, 2021). The child is usually considered as the growing aspect
which is related with the poverty if they live in such condition whose income is 60 percent and
below the average income in the stated year. In addition, the report usually covers the discussion
which is related with the concept, causes and the impact of the child poverty in UK with the
additional information of methodology which is used for the completion of research process
(Andresen, and Meiland, 2019).

The rationale of the research is usually focus on the development which is based on personal
and professional level. Therefore, the professional development is usually carried out due to the
chosen topic which may show the knowledge which is associated with child poverty and while

pursuing any course the knowledge is beneficial for the work placement. The personal
development may also signify which indicate the aspect which clearly state that the issue of
poverty is well recognise during the conducting of research and it focus on the knowledge and
skill which is predominantly provide the clear understanding regard with the child poverty
(Bradshaw, and Barnes, 2018).
LITERATURE REVIEW
Concept of child poverty in the UK
The concept of child poverty is well clear within the UK, it is also show the aspect which is
associated with the aspect which is before the pandemic, 4.3 million children were living the
situation in poverty in the UK. Therefore, the 200,000 from the previous year and they are
currently up to the 500,000 over the last five years that is related with the 31 percent of children.
The end of child poverty coalition that is related with the action for children is defined as the part
which has been showing the survey and observation with the local child poverty data in the 2021.
The concept of child poverty is also state about the condition which is related within the UK. The
North East of England has seen the most dramatic rise that is related with the child poverty in the
past five years (Coughlin, Bovell-Ammon, and Sandel, 2022). The child poverty is defined also
show their rate which is third from the 26 and 37 percent. In the context with the child poverty,
the data is usually show the aspect which provide the aspect where the London and Birmingham,
that is two largest UK cities which is having the greatest concentration of the child poverty. In
some of the cities, there are several of constituents where the most of children were below the
poverty line in the 2019 and 2020. Before the job losses and pay cuts that is associated with the
pandemic worsened the situation. In addition, the London constituency of Bethnal Green and
Bow which have highest concentration of the child poverty in the term of UK. In the year 2019
and 2020 the rate of poverty is show up to the 59.6 percent of children with the below poverty
line (Evans, Hidalgo, and Wang, 2018).
Causes and effect of child poverty in the UK
There are various of causes which may associated with the child poverty in the UK. The
causes are well identified which is the main foster with the situation and condition which is
related with the child poverty. The key factor which is related now defined as the parental
worklessness and low earning which is defined as the main factor which foster child poverty

among the target group. The other main factor which show their contribution in the negative way
which raise the issue of child poverty is low parental qualification, parental ill health, family
instability and size of the family. These factor are contributed in order to provide the factor
which enhance the risk of poor child growing up to the adult with the poor ways. The children
born poverty are more likely to make the experience with the wide range of health issue that
include the poor nutrition, chronic disease and mental health issue. the poverty usually arises the
issue which is related with the additional strain on the families which can lead to create the issue
with parental mental health and issue with the relationship due to the financial issue and
substance misuse (Glennie, 2020)(Lekobane, and Roelen, 2020).
Risk that face during the child poverty in UK
Due to the rise issue of child poverty in the UK, it may create various complication which
is related with the negative experience within the life. It is well linked with the issue of daily
impact that comes easily to mind that is hunger, illness, insecurity and instability. Therefore, they
also experience other risk which is related with the low education that promote unemployment
and other factor that contribute to create poor adulthood. They also generate the risk of mental
health issue, lack of achievement, behavioural issue and social and emotional developments
(Mazhinyan, 2019).
There is other complex situation which also show the risk with the poverty sometime
which have large number of children. They majorly include the high mortality rate lack of
education, about the contraception, patriarchal value system, forced marriage and other
associated risk which may cause complication with the children who fallen within the risk of
poverty.
Ways and intervention used to minimise the child poverty in the UK
The child poverty is must prevented and create barrier for the child poverty which may arise
the issue and cause various complication which foster the issue of child poverty. Therefore, the
child poverty strategy may role in order to address the root causes of child poverty and ensure the
safety of child and assurance of healthy lives. The child poverty strategy usually make the
recommendation which is showing the aspect which is responsible for the wellbeing and future
of the children that focused on the child poverty (Sarangi, 2019).
 Bringing in the term of comprehensive, universal, childcare strategy that include
extended schools.

 Tackling with the work poverty through decent job and make wages and show the reform
which is based on the universal credits.

Search strategy
Search strategy is defined as the aspect which is used within the research methodology section in
order to configure the data and information. The search strategy is well defined as the
significance which may contribute within the data collection and selection from the various
source. Therefore, the major search strategy which is used within the data collection are PubMed,
Springer Link, Science Direct and so on which is taken under the study for the proper data
collection. Therefore, the proper search strategy helps to provide the data and information which
is related with the chosen topic (Spencer and et. al., 2019).
Database used
The major of database used which is helpful for the data collection and selection. In addition, it is
well analysed that the database usually shows the aspect which is well related with the core
concept of chosen topic and applies of relevant database which is helpful to extract the data
which is relevant with the chosen topic. In addition, the database is also show the aspect which
help to provide the proper approach which is show the context of data selection from the
different database which may include PubMed Central, EMBASE, CINHAL and UpToDate.
These factor are well show the aspect which is related with the proper data collection and
elucidation for the research process (Thompson, and Ivinson, 2020).
Research choice
The research choice is defined as the context which is used within the research process in
order to collect the proper data and information with the help of method. The method of research
is focus on the context which include qualitative and quantitative method which help to provide
the core context of method which is suitable for the data collection. Therefore, the qualitative
method is useful in order to collect the data or information which is well suitable with the
research topic which may provide the context for the words and concept which is appropriate for
the data collection. In addition, the qualitative method is used in order to provide the context

which is proper for the data collection which include only data that covers the concept, theory
and many more.
Research method
The research method is defined as the context which include primary and secondary method.
In addition, the secondary method is used within the research process which is beneficial for the
collection of data from the books, article, journals and many more. The secondary research is
defined as the second handed data which is collected from the review of various article and
journals (Williams, Bailey, and McNulty, 2018).
RESULT AND DISCUSSION
As per the above discussion, the result or the outcome well state that the child poverty in the
UK may cause various complication for the standard of living and children face various of issue
which is related with the living, shelter, food, education and health. Therefore, the associated risk
is also analysed which may contribute for the proper development that show the aspect which is
related with outcome that derive the risk factor which may create issue and consequence with the
person which show the aspect that is must provide the core index of having the poor adulthood if
the children is facing poverty at their parental behalf. There are various of intervention and
strategies are used to implement which is based on governmental aspect and also non-
governmental organisation who usually provide free meals, free health check-up and shelter for
the people who is dealing with the issue of child poverty (Van Lancker, and Parolin, 2020).
CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION
As per the above discussion, it is concluded that the child poverty may impact negative on
the health, education and life of children. In addition, it is also evaluated that the child poverty
may also contribute towards the bad health due to the shortage of food and many more. It is well
recommended that the government must take attention on such cases and provide proper shelter
food, education and health that is already provided but they also focus on the regulation and
implementation of service in well-defined way which contribute to reduce the child poverty.
