INTRODUCTION
Obesity refers to the complex disease which are highly effective and can create high impact
on individual health. This can include excessive amount of body fat. This is the one which can
lead to create high impact on individual health which are also lead to create high negative health
impact that may include diabetes, high blood pressure, certain type of cancer and others. There
are large number of patient who are facing obesity within UK that create high negative health
impact on them. There are many children who are facing the issue of diabetes that can have high
negative health impact. Obesity is highly effective and have high impact on patient care. There is
ned to provide better care and support that can help in improving patient care through providing
better impact on people health. In this, there is discussion about the obesity and their impact.
There is also discussion about the impact and concept of obesity which can lead to create high
impact on UK population. There is also discussion about the ways and intervention which can be
effective to reduce obesity among children in UK (von dem Knesebeck et. al., 2019).
RESEARCH AIM
To analyse the impact of obesity among the children in the UK.

LITERATURE REVIEW
To understand the concept of obesity among the children in the UK
According to Rosas, (2020), obesity include the high consumption of calories which are
consumed more than required. This can create high impact on the large population specially on
the children within UK. There are large number of children in UK who are facing the issue of
Document Page
obesity that need to maintain their health. There is highly prevalence of children which can lead
to create high impact on delivery of better and effective response which are associated with
taking care of good health. There are about 15% of children aged 4-5 are obese and 13% are
overweight. At age between 1.-11 there are about 25% are obese and 15% are overweight.
obesity creates high impact on the delivery of better and effective response towards intake of
food. When individual intake large amount of calories than requirement, then it lead to
accumulation of fat within individual which lead to create the cause of obesity (Irandoost et. al.,
2021). There is different disease which can create due to obesity which may include serious
health issues, like heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, abnormal cholesterol level, type-2
diabetes or certain type of cancer. Children like to consume food which are mainly having high
calories which may include fast food. These fast foods contain high calories which are not
consumed by children after all day activity. These extra calories get accumulated as fat that are
highly effective and can lead to create risk of obesity within children.
To evaluate the effect and causes of obesity among the children in the UK
According to Csige, (2018), obesity is a major health problem in UK population which
reduces the quality of life including shortness of breath, problem in mobility, problem at work.
With obesity, person can suffer from many types of disease such as heart disease, diabetes,
cancer, back pain, stroke etc. In UK, approx. more than 50% of population are suffering from
obesity and death rate of obesity is more than 30,000 people/year. Approx. 8 – 9 years of life are
reduced of obese person. More cases of obesity will affect the economic cost of government
because when more cases of obesity are founded out, then there should be need, government
should take initial and hard steps to control over the new cases and reduces the current patients
of obesity (Golden et. al., 2020). Government need to launch new national disease control
schemes. When obesity patients are reducing then other diseases like diabetes, heart disease
patients are automatically decreases because these diseases are largely depending upon obesity
condition. Obesity is main cause of overweight, increased level of body mass index, when person
have overweight then this affect the person overall appearance and individual did not look
healthy and attractive. Most dangerous disease which developed from obesity is coronary heart
disease, which can cause death. In obesity low density lipid (cholesterol) are stuck within the
arteries which may cause high blood pressure problem (Chatham and Mixer, 2020). There are
various causes that lead to create obesity within children in the UK. These may include

unhealthy diet, family health and their behaviour, lack of physical activity, access to food and
outlets, spaced for exercise and play. Lifestyle issues is one of the main cause which can have
high impact on children health that are associated with taking care of children health. children
like to consume different various of high calories food that can have high impact on creating the
risk of obesity within children in UK.
To examine the ways and intervention used to reduce the obesity among the children in the UK
According to Hohenester, (2018), due to high negative health impact of obesity, there is
need to provide better and effective care. There is need to reduce the impact of obesity where
through applying different strategy and intervention can allow to take care of children health
which can also be effective in delivery of better care. There is need to apply some strategy that
may include reducing energy intake, reducing sedentary activities, increasing physical activity,
changing behaviour and performing physical activity. Here, parents need to take care of their
children health which are associated with taking care of their good health that can help in
reducing the risk of obesity (Argolo et. al., 2018) There is need to reduce the energy intake
which can be possible through reducing the high consumption of high calories food that create
high risk of obesity within children of UK. through reducing the energy intake can help to reduce
the intake of extra calories that can help to avoid the risk of obesity within children. There is also
need to increase the physical activity that can include creating high impact on the children.
Through increasing the physical activity, it can create better effectiveness of the children that are
associated with improving better health. Through increasing the physical activity which can be
highly effective intervention are associated with taking care of good health and help children to
avoid the risk of obesity. Changing in diet plan can also help children to reduce the uptake of
high calories food and maintain better physical health.
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
The research methodology is defined as the aspect which is well related with the context
which may show the approach that help to provide the information process of research such as
collection and selection of data, research method and approach, choice and many more. In this,
the research methodology shows the approach which is may provide the information of tool and
technique used within the research process (Nakeshbandi et. al., 2020).

Search strategy
The search strategy is defined as the aspect which is used in such a way which help to
configure the data and information that is reliable and validated for the collection of data which
include search pattern such as PubMed, Springer Link, Science direct and many more. In
addition, the search strategy is usually helpful for the research process to configure the set of
data and information that is well collected form the various of sources.
Database used
The database is usually providing the aspect which is required in order interpret and collect
the data with the various of database which have collection of article, journals and books. The
database is defined as the platform which is well show the aspect where appropriate data is
collected in order to gather the information (Retat et. al., 2019). The most reliable and validated
database which is used by researcher in order to collect and extract the data is from PubMed
central, EMBASE, Cochrane library and so on which is well related to configure the data which
is well required for the showing of approach which is showing the proper aspect and collection
of data for the topic which is childhood obesity.
Research choice
The qualitative and quantitative method are used to taken way with the mixed method where
the description, theories and model are used to collect the date with the closed ended question
within the qualitative method. In addition, the quantitative method is well used which show the
significance of prevalence and data that configure the graph and other related information which
is well related with the childhood obesity in UK.
FINDINGS
It has been found that obesity is one of the health condition which can lead to create high
negative health impact to individual. This may lead to decrease the physical health and lead to
create different disease like diabetes, cancer, high blood pressure and other different health
related issues. It has also found that there are large number of children who are facing the obesity
that lead to create risk of other disease. In this, there is need to take intervention that can be
effective and allow to reduce negative impact. This can also be effective in taking care of good
physical health which are associated with providing better improvement in country economy. It
has also been found that through intake of healthy diet, changing in lifestyle, limited intake of
Document Page
food, increasing physical activity can play a crucial role in decreasing the risk of obesity within
children. This can have better positive impact on children health and provide better care through
reducing the healthcare burden to the UK (Peralta et. al., 2018).
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended to increase the physical activity which can have high positive impact on
reducing the risk of obesity within children in UK. Through increasing the physical activity can
help to burn the extra calories that are associated with taking care of good health and help in
reducing the risk of obesity within children in UK (Alzamil, 2020).
It is recommended that changing in diet can also have positive impact on children health
which can have high positive impact on reducing the risk of obesity within children. There is
need to take care about the diet which should be healthy and should contain less calories that can
help children to reduce the risk of obesity and have good physical health (Hassan et. al., 2018).
CONCLUSION
From the above discussion, it can be concluded that there are large number of children who
are facing obesity as the health related problem which should be taken in consideration and
needed to reduce it more effectively. There is high impact of obesity within large population
where children are highly affected due to their eating habit and intake of high calories food. This
can lead to create high risk of obesity within children. There is also discussion about the concept
of obesity which can have impact on children in UK. In this, there is discussion about impact of
obesity in children. There is also discussion about the ways and intervention that can be effective
in reducing the increasing case of obesity within children.
