Introduction
 The terms "food poverty" and "food insecurity" are also used
interchangeably. When measuring the extent and nature of food shortage,
though, food deprivation and household food insecurity are more often
utilized. Food poverty is a difficult issue to solve.

Analysis of food poverty
Even with rapid urbanization, by 2035, more than half of the poor will live in rural areas and
depend heavily on agriculture.

 Household income in Waltham Forest is smaller than the London average; for
example, 36 percent of jobs in the borough are low-paid, compared to 19 percent in
London, and 28 percent of residents are low-paid, compared to 21 percent in
London.

 Food Availability - The actual presence of food is referred to as availability. Domestic food
processing, commercial food imports and exports, food relief, and domestic food supplies all
contribute to food supply at the national level. On a household basis, food could be self-
produced or purchased from local markets.

obtaining suitable foods for a healthy diet. They should not be at risk of
missing food due to unexpected circumstances (such as an economic or
climate crisis) or cyclical events (e.g. seasonal food insecurity)

 Working alongside the council's sustainability and development departments to boost
the food deal, such as building new food growing spaces to promote community food
growing, finding "food deserts" and growing fruit and vegetable sources, and
limiting the expansion of unhealthy fast food outlets
