MAIN BODY
Government bailout for the UK’s museums, galleries and theatres
Social:
For: The government tends to support and also spoke about the insurance policy in order to
restore the confidence of theatres, museums and galleries that are majorly impacted after the
arrival of COVID-19 and also has delay in full restoration. The cultural Council services and the
other services such as business support, planning, roadways and the environmental health are
complex in terms of developing the thriving locations considering the desires of people who visit
that are beneficial for employees and also undertake the social factors in terms of undertaking the
viewpoint of citizens (Llamas, 2021). The cultural and art heritage of United Kingdom are not
suitably adored but they also greed for the rest of the globe. In regard of this, the live music,
theatres, museums and galleries are considered as the essential element in order to save the
economy of UK as through museums, galleries and theatres plays an important role in regard of
the growth of the UK’s economy by generating approximately 32.3 billion in revenue and
employing around 6,80,000 people in 2018.
Against: Before COVID-19, the culture was linked with around 42% from the in-bound tourism
related spending which is beneficial for the stakeholders and other citizens of UK as they tend to
get proper financial support by considering their financial stability. As a result, it is useful in
regard of overall growth of economy and UK government also support museums, theatres and
galleries by providing proper funds and finances to them (Kim, 2017). Apart from this,

considering each region, the tourist economy is unique and for this, stronger national
coordination of UK tourism should be executed with the place based approach in terms of
recovery by properly supporting other countries that leads to influence the museums, galleries
and theatres of UK. Despite from this, after the wreaked havoc of COVID-19 pandemic these
sectors are forced to close their doors but with the support of the government, they tend to
manage their staff members and their salaries (Reed, 2021). Also, company rate breaks, loans
and self-employment that are granted by the government to help them to overcome from the
crisis.
