AI Summary
This essay examines the concept of Brexit and the subsequent independence of the United Kingdom, questioning whether this newfound autonomy is genuine or merely an illusion. It delves into the transition period following the UK's departure from the European Union, highlighting the agreements and conditions that governed the relationship between the UK and the EU during this time. The essay explores both the advantages and disadvantages of Brexit, including the regaining of border control, the ability to formulate independent monetary policies, and the potential for enhanced trade with non-EU countries. Conversely, it addresses the drawbacks such as the end of free trade with the EU, the loss of EU assistance, and the challenges faced by UK citizens residing in EU countries. The essay concludes that the true impact of Brexit remains uncertain, with both positive and negative consequences affecting different segments of the UK population and economy, leaving the question of genuine independence open to interpretation. Introduction:
The business law explains about the rules and procedures that must be followed by every
organisation in order to run the business. These laws are regularised by the authorised bodies.
In the United Kingdom, there are several acts that govern business law. Some of these laws
include the Employment Act 1996, Equality Act,2010. Every organisation is bound to
follow these employment and business laws. These laws are basically formed for the welfare
of the employees and the company as a whole. The employees must also fulfil their duties in

order to get benefits of these employment laws. These laws provide for maximum working
hours of employees, overtime provisions, minimum pay to employees, etc. Moreover, the
European Union earlier governed the UK. But, after Brexit, the UK is not bound to follow the
laws of the European Union (Goniewicz,. ,.et.al., 2020). The UK has now formed its own
laws. The people of the UK have to follow these laws as formulated by the UK government.
But all this commenced after the completion of the transition period between the UK and EU.
This essay covers the details of the history of the EU and UK along with its transition period.
Furthermore, this essay discusses whether there is independence for the UK in the real sense
after the separation from the EU or merely an illusion for the world. This also discusses the
various laws that must be affected due to this Brexit process for the UK.
Main body
TASK-
Whether the newly achieved independence of the United Kingdom is actual or merely an
illusion to the United Kingdom?
The term Brexit is made up of two terms British and Exit which means the end of the
existence of legal laws between Eu and UK. ThIs basically means that the UK is now not
bound to follow the rules and regulations of the EU . It has made the UK an independent
country. There are many pros and cons related to this Brexit process in the UK. Earlier, Uk
has to follow and fulfil the laws made by the EU. The UK was also bound to the judiciary of
the EU. But now, both countries don't have to follow such laws as done in past(Mhatre,.et.al.,
2021).
The transition period is the period that is also known as the implementation period
in terms of the UK. The Brexit period started on 31st January 2020 when the UK left the EU.
This is the period in which the UK is not a member of the EU. But both the EU and UkK
signed an agreement that specified certain conditions to be followed by the UK. As per this
agreement during the transition period , the UK remained only a member of the single market
and union of customs. During the period of implementation, the UK still follows the rules of
the EU( Kinross, .et.al., 2020).
. But, after the completion of this period, the UK will not follow the rules of the EU. Instead
of this the UK will formulate its own law formed by the parliament of the United Kingdom.
The transition period ended on 31st December 2020. After this period, the UK is now an
independent and democratic country.
The agreement in the transition period contains the matters laike money, border
conflicts, etc. it also contains matters like future relations between the UK and EU. Brexit can
also affect the children also in the UK. The reason for this is that the educational and the
social life of the people is also suffered by such discontinuance of legal relations between the
countries. The social life of the people is also affected as many of the people have to relocate
due to such discontinuance between the countries (Bisciari., 2019) . The countries will also
have to suffer from mental problems as this separation has created stress in the minds of the

people. Now the government of the UK has to put its efforts and money into formulating new
laws for the country which require more skilful people. It has also created a burden to both
skilled and unskilled people of the country. It has also created the feelings of loneliness in the
minds of the people and particularly the childrens of the UK. such an imbalance and drastic
change has hindered the roots of the United Kingdom. It too has increased anxiety in the
minds of the people of the UK(Bloom ,.et.al., 2019). Furthermore, it has taken the symbol of
resistance, ignorance and negotiations for the people of the country .
There are many benefits of Brexit to the UK. Firstly, by this exit the UK will gain its control
back to the borders of UK. Earlier, the control of these borders were in the hands of the EU.
This will also enable the country in stopping the immigration of criminals in the country by
its borders. This is because earlier there was no power in the hands of EU. This will also help
the UK in gaining its control back on its water areas. The exit will further also help in
creating and formulating its own money. Now the UK will not be dependent on the EU for its
money matters. It will circulate its own money in the country. It will also help the country in
raising the living standards of the people of the country. As a consequence of this, the
economy of the country will also raise.this will also enhance the power of the UK on its
businesses and trade in and outside the country. It will also enhance the trade between UK
and non EU countries which is a sign of development of the country. It will further help the
country to do more and more trade (Crafts., 2022). This will further increase the GDP of the
country. The UK will also be empowered by the independent judiciary. This is because
earlier to such separation the UK was bound to follow the decisions and judgements of the
Court of Justice of the EU. but now the UK can formulate its own courts. Hence, the UK is
not bound by the law to follow the judgements of the courts of the UK.
There are various disadvantages of Brexit to the UK. One of the main demerits is that
the negotiation and free trade between UK and EU will come to an end. Before such Brexit,
both the countries were free to do legal and free trade between them. Both of them had not
paid any custom duty when there was no separation between them. But after the separation ,
during the transition period there was the agreement of free trade between both of the states.
But as the transition period is completed, now both countries have to pay the custom duties.
The UK will also regret the assistance they used to receive from the EU before such
separation between the states ( Lee., 2021). Due to this separation, the citizens of the UK who
are residing in EU areas now have to immigrate to the UK. This will create a problem for
many immigrants who will come to the UK due to such separation. The
The UK will also lose the trade relations from the countries that were in contact with
the UK only because of EU. in order to relocate trade and business, the UK will face many
problems. Moreover, the EU will also lose its one sixth share of foregin capital only after the
separation of the UK from the EU (Kavetsos ,.et.al., 2021). Hence, there are economic losses
to both the states namely UK and EU. However, it can’t be clearly proved that Brexit will be
good or not for the UK. This is due to many merits and demerits of such separation on the
citizens of the country. Hence, UK will continue surprising the globe about the consequences
of Brexit

The above essay explains about Brexit. The transition period of the UK is very
difficult for the Uk. It also explains the benefits of the separation between both the states.
Furthermore, it also explains about the demerits of such separation faced by the citizens of
the UK. It also explains about the differences that people are facing during such a transition
period. It also compares the advantages and disadvantages of Brexit. The essay concludes
about the consequences of Brexit that can be clearly seen all over the globe. Hence, whether
such separation gives the UK a real freedom or not can’t be ascertained as a clear answer in
yes or no. This is because of the existence of various merits and demerits of Brexit. It is
useful for some citizens, but on the other hand harmful for some citizens and
organisations. Therefore, this cannot be taken a crystal clear decision on such avital and
drastic topic.
