INTRODUCTION
Society of any country is made up by various group of people. Women are one of them.
They play essential role as caretaker of the society. They help in changing the world scenario
however they suffers from many issue not only at workplace but in every field like education,
hospitality family. Women suffers from various discrimination issue which included, gender
inequality, domestic violence, issue regrading equal pay their maternity regarding issue, issue
regarding their welfare and fair treatment. TO protect the right of women , government has made
up some laws and act which help in preventing women from unfair trade practices as well as
provides them equal opportunity and right to survive in this environment. This report is made to
cover up all the relevant legislation and case studies which change and effect with theses
legislation.
TASK 1
Legal legislation for women

and contribution to run society in effective way. W omens are one one them they are risk taker,
leader , of the society which 5rpved effective guideline to men .There are some legislation and
law made for women which describe below
Following are the legislations made for solving issue of women regarding their discrimination:
ď‚· Equality Act 2010: The government of government had been introduced equality act it
covers all the area of Sex Discrimination Act 1975, Race Relations Act 1976
Disability Discrimination Act 1995. This act provides provisions regarding equal treatment of
each and every person at every place whatever it is working premise, religious place, or bank,
hospital. This act define all the rules regarding protection of women from harassment
discriminated issue they suffers during vocation, training period in education sector. Government
made rules and laws in this act which give information as well as right of women if they face any
issue of gender inequality at working place (Landon and Williams 2019).
ď‚· The Maternity and Parental Leave etc. Regulations 1999
Women are considered as strongest group of society as being as women they play various role.
However they face problem during their maternity period of time , thus to prevent all the issue
regarding maternity, government enacted The Maternity and Parental Leave etc. Regulations

describe meaning and criteria of maternity as well as parenting leave period. This act considered
duration of leaving period for pregnancy, it also define criteria of wage get by women during
their leave period and bonus they are entitled as well as facilities provide by organizations for
their benefits. According to this act every women should be entitled to take maximum leave of
52 weeks for their maternity period. Every women able to take leave only before 11 weeks of the
expected delivery of children(Javornik,Oliver Yerkes Javornik and Kurowska, 2019). this act
divided the leave section into 2 parts . Ordinary as well as addition leaving period. rules also
made up regarding paying wages, every women employee has right to take 90 % of basis average
wages during starting of their 6 week and then every organization has been able to decide the
wages they give to women According to their criteria but the wages will be not less then 151 ÂŁ.
this is consider as essential act as it provide benefits as well as facilities to women employees.
ď‚· Married Women's Property Act 1882
This is also an effective legislation made by government . This act define all the rights of women
regarding their property. Before establishing of this act, all the property of women is consider to
her husband as they treated as one person according to English law. But this act established to
provide protection of women to hold the right of their property they are also able those against
her husband and able to by or sell property . This act control case of harassment violation of
women (CONAGHAN 2018). It is very essential for the British government to make law which
help and protect right and earning of women after their separation. Because there would be no
law and rules were made in 1868 regarding which help women to protect their right and saving.
It was assumed that after marriage all the property of women is directly entitled to their husband
to get her savings and right to use this property even without consent of wife. But in case of
separation to control the issue regarding women and the court as made this act and help to
provided right and security for women against the society do that they can live their life without
any kind of restriction. It also useful for the women to prevent them social harassment issue and
giver them confidence to become independent and work in effective manner .

In this case the Tribunal filed case against the manager and their team's assistant manager as they
select footballer on the basis of racism it is the case of inequality and discrimination.
Susannah Palmer case : In this case Mr. Palmer, abuse her wife ,fight with her and punish her
children she felt violated , she took the responsibility to take care her children but Mr palmar
came to her after 2 years and claim to take all the earning she save during the time after got
seprate. As Mr Palmar know that her wife was to able to sue against husband, this they take
advantage and came to took all saving of her wife. This act was implemented to protect te right
of married women (Bergqvist, 2016).
2) Permila Terkey VS Milton Keynes: Permila is belongs from poor state of India Bihar,
she got chance to work in Milton Keynes. . As she belongs from poor society and due to
her dark skin , she suffers from issue regarding caste discrimination. Employers of the
organization take bribe from her and also they force her to work for more then 18 hours
in a day, they did not provide her proper facilities to live and also use abusive words due
to her dark skin completion. Terkey file case against the organization case of caste
discrimination . Tribunal analysis all the relevant fact, found that the organization not
wanted to hirer person for service purpose rather they recruit her for fulfilling their
objective of servile.. It was decided that Permila Terkey is faithful women and work hard
thus she entitled to get all the wages and reward which as deserve for her work. Tribunal
composed fine of 184000 against Milton Keynes to sue all the relevant compensation to
Permila.
3) Porras Guisado v Bankia SA a: Porras Guidso is a pregnant women and she is not get to
her pregnancy as she s not fulfilled the criteria of selection measure decided by Bankia
SA .Porras file case against the company as according to her pint of view it is not right

and set criteria of minimum relevant wage which every worker speciality women for their work.

From the above analysis it has been ide4nfitied that women play vital role in taking
society strong thus it is the responsibility of other group of source to gave them respect, justice
and also provided them relent opportunity which they deserve. Even through cages of time
women condition is not so good in the society they still suffers from issue of determination,
harassment violation and gender inequity. To protect right and provide security and safety. law
enacted, maternity act, wages act, equality act and married women property act, . All these
relevant act help women in workplace provide them security, prevent from any kind of use
which effect their moral and these act made amendment through which they can able to get equal
reward and bonus which they deserve. Implementation of these act help women to survive in this
world.
