The phone market in UK is getting popular and it contributes a significant portion in the GDP of
the country. Smartphone are getting popular with time due to several reasons. The features of the
phones are getting more updated and it is day by day attracting a new customer base to the
market. The usage of phone has been increased in 2017 from 2016. According to the report of
Deloitte the top purposes of using the device are the voice calling, email and calendar
management. The use of the Smartphone for the office purpose is also huge. Nowadays the
Smartphones are coming in the market with new features and thus it .is getting more popular
with time. The elderly people as well as the young people both are getting more involved with
the new features of the Smartphones. The graph below will describe the market of Smartphone in

In todays’ world there has been an increase in the use of the smartphones. This can be seen even
in the reports of Deloitte that was published for the year of 2012 to 2017 (Deloitte.co.uk, 2019).
The report will be shown in the form of a calculation and then that will be represented by a line
chart for the organisation to understand. This report will definitely make the organisation
understand the effects of the increase of the use of smartphones in the recent years, which they
can use as a tool to expand their business in Kingston. It will be a very good thing for them.

It can be seen that there is an increase in the use of the smartphones, which is mainly due to the
increase in the upgradation of the applications of the smartphones that is making them more
effective. Due to the advancement in the technologies, it has helped the organisations to have
better results in the selling of smartphones, which have increased in due course of time.

Features that make use of smart phone popular among old customers
There are different reasons due to which the old people are becoming use to the smartphones and
rather they are moving towards smartphones. This has become a mandatory. In today’s world,
most of the people of the families are separated due to the purposes of jobs, education and a
number of other reasons (BBC News, 2017). It becomes a necessity for the people to get
connected to their families. According to a recent report, it was seen that there are a minimum of
75% of the families that are present in the whole world that are separated from each other due to
a number of reasons. The old people use smart phones to connect to their family members
throughout the world with the use of different applications. The applications that are present in
the world allows them to call to their families and relatives and even see their videos.
It is seen, that the old people have become fond of the touch screen phones that allows them to
use the phone more extensively. This is the other reason for the old people to leave the button
phones and use the smartphones instead. This is another important thing that can be seen in the
report. This has helped the old people to use the smartphones in a number of ways due to the
applications that are present in the smartphones (BBC News, 2017). These are the main reason
for the increase in the use of smartphones by the old age people in the recent years.
