INTRODUCTION
Business laws and ethics means that kind of legislations which is been formed over
maintaining balance within working of an business organization. These laws has helped in
developing of business organization to its full extend. The laws has been affecting internal and
external factors of an organization. Such laws has resulted upon enhancing elements used by an
business organization to achieve its goals and objectives set by them. Ethics is focused over
discipline and order within society. Business law makes establishment of business possible in
more effective manner. Scope of these laws are wider as they cover business organization and its
formation. This part is based over individual report which is prepared on the basis of
parliamentary sovereignty that has been protecting government from different aspects. The in
this European Union and Brexit is discussed.

Parliamentary sovereignty is the concept which is covered within constitutional law of
country following democracy. It holds that the legislative body has absolute sovereignty and is
supreme over all other government institutions, including executive or judicial bodies. It also
holds that the legislative body may change or repeal any previous legislation and so it is not
bound by written law or by precedent(Sutherland, L., 2020). Th is is one of the most important
part which has been is formed on the basis of rule of law. The rule says that all individuals living
in society of required to follow laws or legislation formed by parliament which protects them
form any kind of illegal activity. Further parliamentary sovereignty makes Parliament attain
supreme authority within UK through such sovereignty parliament maintains its lead over legal
system of country. As per this sovereignty parliament has been inherit with the power to form
laws. Parliamentary sovereignty is one of the most important part of UK constitution which
makes legal authority of parliament developed within UK. This has allowed parliament create
legal authority of creating law. Parliament in part years has formed various laws which has
helped UK in developing strong legal framework. Laws formed by UK parliament are as
follows:

 Devolution of power to bodies like the Scittish Prliement and Senedd Cymru.
 The Human right act 1998.
 UK's entry to European Union in 1973 and its exit in 2020.
 The decision to establish a UK Supreme Court in 2009, which ends the House of Lords
function as the UK's final court of appeal.
The laws formed in UK has made its legal system to be enhanced and also introduction
to separation of power that made three organs legislative, executive and judiciary attain separate
powers (Robson and Bottausci, 2018).
European Union contribution towards parliament sovereignty
Parliament sovereignty in UK is been maintained with the help of European Union as it
has helped UK in becoming strong among European countries. It has helped UK in developing
various aspects which makes political, economical and social development possible through
maintaining Supremacy of parliament. Through goals that is been formed by EU Parliament
sovereignty is maintained within UK. These goals is explained as follows:
 EU has helped in promoting peace and values which has helped in making well being of
citizens.
 EU offered freedom, security and justice without internal borders that has helped
parliament makes law over protecting individual (Pickering, 2021).
 EU has contributed towards sustainable development based on balanced economic
growth and price stability, a highly competitive market economy with full employment
and social progress, and environmental protection.
 EU has helped parliament in dealing with social exclusion and discrimination.
 EU has made economic, social and territorial coherence with solidarity maintained
within UK. This made UK parliament develop rich culture and diversity.
 It also made currency developed for UK which makes trade between EU countries easily
done.
Further EU has helped parliament in developing various values in relation to organizing legal
system. These values has helped parliament in developing inclusion, tolerance, justice, solidarity
and non-discrimination aspects through which parliament sovereignty is been developed. These
values has been developed over following elements that are explained as follows:

Human Dignity: This is one of the major aspect that has made respect, protection and
constitutes fundamental right(Havinga and Verbruggen, 2017).
Freedom: It has helped government of UK develop freedom in relation to free movements of
citizens and also providing them rights which has been provided to them as per constitution. In
this private life, freedom of thought, religion, assembly, expression and information are protected
by the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights.
Democracy: The functioning of the EU is founded on representative democracy. Being a
European citizen also means enjoying political rights. Every adult EU citizen has the right to
stand as a candidate and to vote in elections to the European Parliament. EU citizens have the
right to stand as candidate and to vote in their country of residence, or in their country of origin.
Impact of Brexit on UK
Brexit is that kind of agreement which has been formed by UK's government in order to
leave European Union. This is based upon referendum over leaving European Union and is
mainly focused over making UK independent in nature. After this UK is required to fact lot of
challenges which is going to change various aspect of legal, economic and social aspect in more
effective way(Gutstein, 2019). Now government of UK is required to develop various legislation
by themselves which helps in protecting there integrity over legal system. The "Brexit bill" is
considered as financial settlement in UK. The agreement has replaced controversial Irish
backstop with an protocol. The revised system says that EU is leaving customs union over Brexit
but Northern Ireland will follow EU regulations and VAT laws when it comes to goods. The
government of UK will collect VAT on behalf of EU which is going to limit custom borders
within Irish Sea that has been checking a major ports(Forgó, Hänold and Schütze, 2017). After
the end of transition period Northern Ireland assembly will be able to vote on this arrangement.
Opponents of Brexit tends over thinking of attempts over reclaiming of reclaim and imagined
Britain over the past and European migrants with more patriotic singing and promote over
embracing change. Now Britain can set rules over encouraging innovation over dealing with
permits and can also regulate change in more effective manner. After Brexit various kinds of
changes required to be made regarding the usage of currencies as not UK cannot use Euro for
trading with other countries. Further Brexit has brought lot of changes which has created lot of
problems to UK regarding its economical aspects as trade is going to face fluctuations at times.
Small scale industries of UK going to face difficulties in growing as EU was being a great

support to them. Brexit impacts parliamentary sovereignty since UK government will loss lot of
its power and is required to reframe them for maintaining there supremacy within the country.
Now UK is required to enhance its laws and judiciary as per its will which is very helpful in
removing rigidity form the legal system(Ariza-Montes and et. al., 2018).
CONCLUSION
From this discussion it can be concluded that business law and ethics are those
legislations which has helped in making various aspects within an business organization
developed in more effective manner. It has lead over developing goals and objectives of business
in more effective manner. Then in this report things covered is based parliamentary sovereignty
which deals with power of maintaining supremacy of government within a country. Then the
report deals with European Union with its contribution towards parliament sovereignty of UK. In
the end impact of Brexit is been explained over UK with changes it is going to bring in economic
and trade aspect of UK.
