SECTOR
Majorly, the travel and tourism industry
consists of private, public and voluntary sector. Travel
and tourism is one of the most attractive industries
which is leading the nation to gain high economic
prosperity with offering number of employment
opportunities to the people and thus, enhancing the
standard of living of them.
In the economy of UK, at present, 12.1bn
pounds is the total contribution that can be
taken as 7.1% of the whole.
Tourists generate 127.4bn pounds as the total
revenue as per which UK’s economy is the
eight largest tourist destination.
Approximately, 4% of tourists make
contribution in enhancing the economy of UK
on direct basis.
Apart from that business and leisure purpose, it
is the education sector which is helping the
travel and tourism sector of UK to grow.
The international students that come in the UK
for education purpose spend around 14 billion
pound that is estimated to increase by 24bn
pounds till the year 2020.

UK, the industry is worth around 126.9 billion
pounds as well as the economic contribution is
