hotels and good accommodation for their stays and also plan their travel and sightseeing

accommodations and staying there is a source of income for the service industry and that
ultimately leads to economic growth of this sector and economic growth of UK as well. Different
services are availed by the customers or the guests while travelling or touring like spa, lounge

services and others and these are also a source of income generation that helps in economic
development and progress of the country (Raj and Griffin 2015).
The Tourism, hospitality and events helps in boosting other local industries in UK and that is
also a path towards economic development and contributing towards the economic progress and
development of the country (Antonakakis, Dragouni and Filis 2015). When there is rapid growth
of Tourism, hospitality and events sectors then there is also an approach of boosting the other
local industries and that include food production and agriculture sector (Antonakakis, Dragouni
and Filis 2015). Food production and agriculture is directly related with hospitality since in
hotels and restaurants raw products from the agricultural field is important and at the same time
food production techniques and food production process are important (Antonakakis, Dragouni

industries and that creates money for the local industries and that leads to economic growth and
economic development of the country (Du, Lew and Ng 2016). The local stores like cafes, repair
industries, washing industries, interior decoration stores and others are also benefitted from the
Tourism, hospitality and events as these also helps in generating money and this helps in forming
the required economic growth for the country.
Tourism, hospitality and events also contribute towards economic development of the country
through boosting the airline companies and that includes British Airways, Virgin Atlantic,
Lufthansa and others (Tang and Tan 2015). The airlines get a lot of money due to flying the
international passengers to different parts of UK and this is mainly because of the fact that there
are always increasing number of tourists and the tourism and hospitality and events of UK attract
the visitors to visit parts of UK (Du, Lew and Ng 2016). This is also a source of generating

one of the greatest sources of income and adds to the economic development as well.
Foreign direct investment is also a path to economic development and this is done through the
service industry in UK. In UK there are many foreign direct investment in the present time and
this is adding up to the economic development and economic progress of the country (Tang and
Tan 2015). With foreign direct investment in Tourism, hospitality and events many new
companies and enterprises are coming up and that is very significant since these kind of
investment in Tourism, hospitality and events helps in gathering more income and this adds to
the economic growth and development of the country and that is very crucial for the country
(Tang and Tan 2015). It is important to focus on this area and is also significant to know about
how Tourism, hospitality and events countries to great economic development and to greater
economic progress of UK. Foreign direct investment can be found in hotel sectors, in restaurant
chains, in airlines sector, in real estate to build hotels and 5 star accommodations and others
(Tang and Tan 2015). These are all a source of income and pave the way to economic
development and growth (Antonakakis, Dragouni and Filis 2015).
