INTRODUCTION
Travel and tourism is one of the key industries which contributes in more than 10%
in global economic output. So that it is liable for growth and development of an
economy. In today scenario, tourism industry is booming day by day in Britain.
Many years ago, only rich people prefer to go travel so as to spend their summer
vacations by taking a tour of countryside. 1945 was the time when tourism
business was coming into market. At this time, increased interest of people had
given huge growth to this sector. Tourism attracts visitors and several tour
operators arranged tours and holiday packages. They also organised places for eat
and sleep; it can give maximum level of satisfaction to people. Apart from this, in
this mid of 1950s there was an impressive change in growth and development of
tourism industries. Now managers were preferred to spend their profits on
investing in order to explore their business activities. It is beneficial for those
individuals who can afford expensive locations, i.e. seaside towns and spa. It is
advantageous Europe to get spring winters and fresh air.
Afterwards, in 1970 individuals were focused to get knowledge about architecture
and sculpture through various educational tours. They also preferred to visit certain
historical places in order to gain information about history. In 20th century tourism
industry become popular and successful; but it limited from few people due to its
high costs. As enhanced income level would also increase the demand of tourism.
At this time, travelling agencies also provide the facility of commercial air crafts in
order to carry out people from one place to another.
London and England were the popular travel
destinations by having a total earning of $200 billion
and 170 million visitors. Besides, the demand of
tourism business is increasing day by day. It is also
responsible for economic growth and development in
21st century. Proper understanding and cultural trade
will be helpful for a country.

By 1990, evolution of tourism sector, especially in
Europe and UK was effected growth and development
of travelling companies in an effective manner. All
these changes played a major role in maximising the
number of visitors which also influenced the
profitably of tourism business. In modern era, tourism
industries also provide various facilities, i.e. resorts,
holiday packages of families as well as couples,
accommodation, entertainment activities etc. London
and England were the popular travel destinations by
having a total earning of $200 billion and 170 million
visitors. Beside this, the demand of tourism business
is increasing day by day. It is also responsible for
economic growth and development in 21st century.
Proper understanding and cultural trade will be
helpful for a country. at this time, there were
developed certain laws and regulations which
prohibits the growth and development of large
companies. In 1995, UK has created an operational
tour which was differ from its other tours.
In order to gain high competitive growth and success,
it is essential for tourism industries to explore the
quality of their services and products in order to attain
and retain visitors for long term period.
