Explain the components importance in supply and demand of UK tourism
There are various components in UK tourism; some are accommodation, attraction, travel agents
or transport. Supply and demand are something where more supply will have fewer prices and
more demand will have a high price. All these components are interrelated with each other. Such
as when demand for accommodation raises it result in the hike in the cost of accommodation
(Horner and Swarbrooke, 2016, p.220). When more attraction place are developed in the UK will
result from more tourist and thus more income and rise in the cost of a tour. More travel agents
will result in high competition among them and thus result in the reduction of tour cost and then
demand tour rise. Lastly, transport price rises when demand for tour rise along with the rise in
demand for transport. People with more wealth demand more for tour and thus cost of tour
increase. More travel agents then lower the price due to tough competition.
Conclusion
As the UK have many attractive places so they attract more tourists and thus the cost of a tour for
UK rises as well as the demand. UK tourism contributes a lot to the development of their country
and builds a strong economic strength. In 2005 UK is been voted as the world's leading tourist
destination. Visit Britain is the founding partner of ENAT and its future aim is to become the
world's leading tourist destination
