• This paper offers some of the most vital threats to the global
environment, by looking at the risks that have the greatest
impact.
• The four most vital threats that pose the greatest risk to the
global environment include climate change, Globalization,
Civil war, and energy source.
• The range of these four threats facing the global environment
is so urgent as well as widespread that they require different
countries that experience them to engage multilaterally.

Climate change
• Climate change refers to the long-term alteration in Earth
weather and climate patterns.
• It took almost a century of research as well as data to convince
many scientific communities that the activity of human might
alter the climate of the entire world.
• In the 1800s, experiments proposing that human-produced
CO2 as well as other gases might collect in the atmosphere
and cause global warming.
• In the year 1989, the emissions of carbon from the burning of
fossil fuel as well as industry reach 6 billion tonnes per year.

Countries Affected By Climate Change
• Today, Philippines Germany and Japan are the most affected
countries by climate change.
• In 2018, there were heat waves, heavy rains, Jebi typhoon and
the Osaka earthquake in Japan.
• Typhoon Mangkhut’s passage via the Philippines in the year
2018 affected many people across the country.
• In the year 2018, German suffered from the heat wave which
damaged most of the agricultural sectors (Hastrup, 2018).
• The events of weather in Germany caused more than 1200
deaths and many people also lost their properties.

Effect Of Climate Change On World Population
• First of all, older individuals are physically more susceptible
to extreme heat; therefore population aging might exacerbate
increases in heat-stress mortality initiated by climate change.
• Also, higher temperature exacerbates outdoor pollution of air
like Ozone, which also affects older individuals.
• Conversely, older people are also more susceptible to cold
weather; therefore a warming trend more so in colder latitudes
might decrease winter mortality rates, specifically in nations
like Russia.

• Civil wars’ deaths started at the end of WW1 and the end of
the WW2.
• The end of the first WW saw the collapse of the Austro-
Hungaria, Ottoman, Russian and German Empires.
• The fall of the Russian Empire contributed to the Russian civil
war.
• The rise of civil war led to the disruption of waterways, and
destruction of forest.

Countries Affected By Civil war
• The countries most affected by Civil wars include Syria, Iraq,
Afghanistan, and America.
• In Syria, the civil war caused the displacement of many people
from their homelands to other places.
• Also, the Civil war indeed led to the wasting of natural
resources.
• In America, Civil war does not only caused the destruction of
people lives, it also attacked the country’s natural resources.

Effect Of Civil war On World Population
• During the Civil war, there are numerous events that
negatively impacted the global environment, such as the
destruction of waterways, and the destruction of forest.
• These negative effects of Civil war may cause death of many
people in the long run.
• Indeed, civil war was extremely catastrophic to both the
environment and people.

Energy sources
• The first source of energy was the Sun
providing light and heat during the day time.
• All energy sources have numerous impact to
the environment.
• Fossil fuels-oil, coal as well as natural gas- do
more harm compared to renewable energy
sources.

Countries Affected By Energy Source
.The environment impact of energy source is ever
increasing as the universe demand for energy and water
increases as well as the size and amount of reservoirs
increases.
. The construction of 3 Gorges Dam as well as other
similar projects throughout Latin America, Asia and
Africa have affected most of the regions in these
places. Countries such as Nigeria and Liberia .
