Introduction
The main aim of this presentation is to
show the different types of
organizations that are present in the
business environment by taking
examples of each one. The main types
of business organizations are of three
types i.e.
 Private organizations
 Public organizations
 Voluntary organizations

Private Organizations
The private sector encompasses all the
profit businesses in the international
market that are not owned and
operated by the government.
For example: In the UK’s retail
industry, Iceland (supermarket) or
Iceland Foods Ltd. is one of the British
supermarket chain in the private
sector. The headquarters of the
company is in Deeside, Wales, UK.

Public Organizations
These organizations are funded by the
public money and overseen by the
state and the government of the UK.
The organizations under the public
sector are primarily driven by their
requirement to offer services that are
beneficial to the whole society.
For example: NEXT PLC

Voluntary
Organizations
These organizations can be of private
or public by are dedicated in uplifting
the standard of society and public in
the UK through collective efforts.
For example, The National Trust, UK

Growth in the international
market
O The retail companies like the Iceland

having a high growth in the
international market as there are
many customers of them overall the
world.

wide range of locations, i.e. more than
800+ allover the world. A large
number of employees i.e. 23,000+ are
working for the company and the net
income is approximately £160 million.
The company can expand in the
geographical locations and more in the
other services, which can be its scope.

objectives
The main vision of the retail companies
like the NEXT PLC and the Iceland Foods
Ltd. is to provide a wide range or products
and service sot the local communities and
the to have a large market share in the
business environment, respectively.
The employees and volunteers of all the
three companies are working together for
fulfilling the business objectives and
vision of the company.

Organisational and legal
structure
The legal structure of the private
company and the company is following
the matrix organizational structure for
its working.
The legal structure of the NEXT retailer
company is “public limited company or
cooperation” and its is following the
hierarchical organizational structure.

Information about their
stakeholders
Employees, customers, suppliers,
government, local communities,
buyers, consumers etc. are some of
the main stakeholders of all the three
companies.
