Introduction
Child care is a much talked about issue lately. Children are the future of an entire nation but
parents are finding it hard to pay proper attention to their kids. As most of the times, both the
parents are working and always busy, children become lonely. A growing child requires a lot
more attention as it is the time when he/she starts to become familiar to his/her family and the
surrounding. The parents then become concerned about the well-being of their kids and look for
child care support to provide them with a better childhood.
Finding Child Care
The mind of a child is pure and tender; requiring a lot of attention to ensure the child grows up
having a healthy and positive mind. With proper care a child can become a responsible and
dutiful adult. While handling a child, a care giver needs to be very much careful in order to
ensure proper care is provided to that kid (Araujo, Dormal & Schady, 2018). There are certain
circumstances when a child needs the support of child care, which are-
1. A child having a physical or psychological issue which differentiates him/ her from the
other kids.
2. A child having working parents who are not able to give time to him/ her.
3. A child having behavioral problems resulting from negligence in initial stages of
childhood.
4. Victim of child abuse.
5. A child who is abandoned by parents.

In all the above circumstances, a child needs special care and it is of much importance to see if
the child is getting the required care and attention or not.
A child is supposed to be the topmost priority of parents. As working parents or careerist parents
can hardly give time to their kids, it affects the child negatively. Career or money being the
topmost priority of such parents they do not think about spending some time with their kid.
Many times, it is also seen that the parents work hard not to earn more money, but to make the
ends meet. In such cases, they are not able to give time to their kids. Hence, they look for day
care centers (Pilarz, 2018). Day care centers can be found almost everywhere and are taking care
of numerous children each day. The care givers handle the children for the whole day, until their
parents arrive to pick them up and take them home. Sometimes, renowned companies have their
personal day care centers for single parents who work in that particular company.
A child having physical or psychological disorders can be hard to handle, as they require special
attention and care. In such cases, the care givers belonging from specific social care centers are
called to provide the required care to the child. These social care workers are thoroughly trained
in accordance to the disease the child is having. Thus, with them around, it becomes easier to
handle a child with special needs. Sometimes a child can be abandoned by their parents, or
suffering from mental trauma caused by beating, or parents’ divorce, or some other unfortunate
event of their life (White, 2018). These types of children are majorly sufferer of child abuse, are
identified by the local people who then contact child care services. The child care service
identifies such cases and rescues the victim i.e. the child. Through proper counseling and
treatments, the child can be brought back to normal life. Therefore, timely action is much
required to handle such cases of child abuse. Child abuse is a much anticipated topic and
government is implementing relevant policies to benefit such children (Hallam et al. 2018). With

proper judiciary system child abuse can be eliminated from the society or can be reduced to a
great extent.
Finding child care becomes easier with deeper understanding of the above mentioned situations.
Especially victims of child abuse must be handled delicately, as they go through a lot in such a
tender age and are devastated and scared. It is the responsibility of the child care to bring them
back to the normal flow of life with their care. Also, child care has solved a lot of problems for
the working parents by providing their child with company and care.
Conclusion
Taking care of a child is not an easy task. It requires expertise in various fields. A care giver has
to be well-equipped with knowledge and ideas to ensure proper upbringing of a child. Thus,
finding child care is essential in order to provide the distressed or needy children with the care
and love they deserve.
