Part 1.
This research was conducted with the purpose of understanding the psychology of the Iraqi
immigrants. The survey tried to understand, how an illegal or legal migrant from Iraq is living in
USA. This survey is open to everyone irrespective their race or gender (Eady, 2017). The survey
contains open and close ended questions to measure their penetration in US society, economy
and other factors. The survey can target men, women aging between 18-55 years (Dykema et al.,
2020).

The survey was taken on a respondent who agreed to answer all the questions without any
hesitation and gave their consent.
The answer is as follows

2. I came to USA with my parents in 2007 and I was only 10 years old at that time.
3. Yes. My parents are illegal immigrants. But I am having citizenship of US.
4. Yes I am working in a salon as barber.
5. I am a graduate in social science from local university.
6. Disagree with this thought as everyone is given job based on their qualification and
competency. Everyone one is given equal opportunity. The economy of America is very
much independent from 1.3% immigrants.
7. Disagree and none of us want to change anything in US. Its one of the most openly
accepted culture and is respected by all.
8. Neutral, sometimes they are very easy, nice and lovely people but at times they are
difficult.

10. No I don’t work with any known convicted person. There can be some cases but I am not
aware of it.
11. I am fit person and in last 20 years I have no health issues.
12. I would love to go back but not for long. May be I would like to come back soon. The
facilities given in US are far better than what we get in Iraq. More over I am in love with
this place.
Part 2.

Assignment on survey questions
1. The research is done to understand the psychology of the Iraqi immigrants who are staying
in USA. What they think of American culture and what is their experience of being an
immigrant. The sample population for the survey is anyone who is Iraqi from their race and
ethnicity (Yates, 2019). The hypothesis is to prove that the immigrants are psychologically
realizing that this is not their land. Even if they were born here and have been staying here
for so long, they don’t belong to this place. When questions are analsysied we can found that
I was asking them about their year of immigration, work and education status, culture
difference and also what kind of difficulty they face while working with Americans. The
answers given by them displayed that they were trying to adjust themselves in US culture.
They are not having any problem but the people of this country are sometimes very irrational
while working with them. They were asked if they have criminal background, this was an
emotional question where any participant may feel humiliated as the target sample size was
only Iraqi population. The hypothesis tried to measure their reactions on all questions to test
if they are given the equal amount of respect as an American citizen (Littman et al., 2018).
2. Some of the survey question in the demography section was changed in the pretest version.
Like the age and sex questions as that did not defined the purpose of the survey (McNeeley,
2016). These questions were not important so changed to the present questions in 2 and 3
points.
