The change is considered as important part of a business, which enables a business entity
to adopt new practices (Abbadessa, Lavorgna, and Bonavita, 2021). Change is also termed as
most crucial part of a business which enables a company to cope up with current business
environment. It is necessary for a business entity to focus on change management in order to lead
the marketplace. All major companies formulate effective strategies in order to cope up with
change and also develop planning framework. In this project there is an essay on change
management and also includes different types of organisations along with their advantages and
disadvantages. The essay also includes description of different change strategies proposed by
Kotter and Schlesinger. The essay also includes description of different types of organisational

Change is a major part of business which brings new challenges and issues for a business
entity in its functioning. There are different types of organisations in the marketplace which
focus on change management in order to gain desired success. Change is also dealt with help of
major strategies which are usually developed and prepared by most of the organisations. Sole
trader organisation is a business entity which is operated by a single owner and all activities are
in control of the owner. It is important for a sole trader organisation to focus on change
management in order to lead at the marketplace. In sole trader business, the profit is shared by a
single person and all the risk associated with business is also handled by an owner. The main
advantage of sole trader business is, the profitability of business is enjoyed by the owner in a
precise manner (Beales, Palsson, and O'Sullivan, 2020). On the other hand, main disadvantage of
sole trader business is, there is an excess burden and pressure in the business as there is a single
owner. In the marketplace, these types of business organisations operate for profit based
approach in order to lead the competition. Change is also termed as most crucial part of a
business which helps a company to follow the current trade practices that are present in
contemporary business environment.
Partnership is considered as major type of business in which two or more people are
involved in development of business activities. The main advantage of partnership based
business is, it involves sharing of loss by its owners in a well defined manner. Main disadvantage
of partnership business is, it sometimes lead to develop clashes between partners which can
make business unstable (Vaughen, 2020). Corporate societies is another major type of business
which includes business activities for the welfare of social class. In the recent times, corporate
societies has major advantage of doing welfare for the poor sections of society. If the main
disadvantage of corporate society is taken into consideration, it is not operating for profit making
in the marketplace (Beech, and MacIntosh, 2017). The corporative societies functions in the
economy for development of weaker class of society.
In the functioning of a business, there are major types of changes happen which play an
important role in transformation of a business. All major companies in the global and domestic
marketplace face different types of changes which also impact on revenue and profitability of a

company. The incremental change is considered as thought of as a process that modifies, adjusts
or refine status quo with simple or minor changes. All major companies face this change in

development of plans which are effective in dealing with the change. In the recent times, many

implementation. It is essential for the business entity to focus on implementation of strategies
with supervision and control in order to achieve desired results. Various changes which are faced
by a business in the competitive marketplace helps a company to development to analyse
strategies of key competitors. In the era of stiff competition between different companies, it is
essential for the company to analyse key competitive factors which are associated with business
growth (Hoe, 2021). The major companies which are functioning in the business marketplace,
also develop strategic and planning framework to deal with different types of change. In order to
deal with different types of changes, a company takes into consideration needs of different
employees. It is major role of a company to focus on employees need and demand of customers
(Taylor, 2021). The Kotter and Schlesinger proposed six major change approaches which are
effective in dealing with the change. In order to manage change, it is essential role of a business
entity to manage change with positive approach in order to develop functions and tasks.
There are six stages in Kotter and Schlesinger model which are effective in order to deal
with major consequences and challenges created by change. All major companies in the
international and national marketplace apply these approaches to gain competitive advantage.
The first approach in the model is related to communication and education, which states that lack
of information or improper communication and one of the best techniques to face the change. It
suggests that communication should be developed by the manager of a company between
employees in order manage change (Kelley, and Thams, 2019). Participation and involvement is
the second method to deal with change in an organisation. It is essential for the company to focus
to focus on developing employee engagement in a set period of time for desired success. All

major companies should also focus on development of HR base functions in order to lead the
international marketplace. The facilitation and support is related to the situation where people
resisting change with the modifications to problems. In the current scenario, it is essential for a
company to focus on development of a major approach which is effective in increasing facilities
for employees (Kezar, 2018). This is also one of the major role of top level and strategic
management of a business to comply with business environment. The fourth stage in Kotter and
Schlesinger is related to negotiation and agreement in which a group may lose out major charge
and the employees or team do not resist to any change. It is essential for the company to deal
with this stage of change for long term development of the company. All major companies
follow this stage in order to develop effective approach in dealing with change management.
Most of the famous organisations in the global marketplace focus on manipulation and co-option
approach which is effective in dealing (Onyusheva, Elswerky, and Kanwisit, 2020). The last
stage in this model is related to explicit and implicit coercion in order to lead the marketplace in
a short period of time. All major companies should focus on developing major approach and
strategies related to business development. In the recent times, it is major role of a business to
focus on taking advice from board of directors in order to gain competency edge. In order to
increase efficiency and effectiveness of a business it is compulsory for the company to develop
focused goals. It is also one of the major role of employees of a company to deal with different
consequences and challenges related to change for overall business growth (Sveningsson, and
Sörgärde, 2019).
