available in HE along with the advantages and disadvantages associated to HE course. Finally,
the report will consider the SWOT analysis and Kolb’s cycle and their underlying importance.

The education offered in the university by higher education is with no doubt a very important
instrument that can be used to assist student to cope up with the modern life. Typically, it has
tremendous effects to personal development, career aspirations, and financial implication as well
as in personal circumstances. This in return enacts way to shape your future because studying
and education play a very crucial role in career building (Maslow 2013). This makes the

enroll in classes at numerous timeframes during the academic year as well as to terminate
the required tasks for the specific course during the own appropriate time (Marylene
2014). It has become easy to undertake these courses at the same time performing
personal aspects such as work, relating with family as well as performing some personal
commitments.

education (Ryan & Deci 2017). This has been achieved due to increased competitiveness
for online courses in these institutions due to increased number of students willing to
undertake them.
3. Options.
There are many options that are being used in the modern world to obtain university
degree. In that connection, many universities and colleges have incorporated the concept
of flexibility that aim at offering suitable programs. This include administration of online
and semi-online classes (Kanungo & Manuel 2014). In addition, a lot of students are
preferring weekend as well as traditional classes so as to attend other personal
commitments such as family, work and personal development.
Disadvantages of following HE course.
In this case, the higher education course as well indicate some disadvantages that may affect the
student career aspiration, personal development, financial implications along with personal
circumstances. Therefore, these disadvantages may delay the process of learning as well as

Many of students in HE are fully capitalizing in this course. However, it is important to
note that these opportunities may come along with risks as well (Thomas 2009).
Therefore, the students need to realize that the HE course can possess the buyer beware
warning label that can be associated with higher education.
2. Cost.
The education offered in colleges is associated with high costs. In that connection,
majority of the people in the world today are living in the middle class era. This implies
that, there is inadequate money to fully pay for the education (Arnold 2010). In that case,
many opt to take loans so as to supplement what they earn in workplace so as to fully
finance the education. These loans have a gross period of one year. If an individual is not
able to secure a job within that timeframe, there are high chances of penalties that are not
easily payable without a paycheck.

By taking advantage of varied as well as multiple chances to complete these courses,
students are likely to succumb to that particular criterion associated to availability so as to
advance their degree (Tallman 2009). The principle of availability could be true but there
could be no relationship with total curriculum associated with the process of taking
different courses from different sources.

The new opportunities that may arise for student are likely to enthrall them by assuming
that the newly earned credits may apply to the degree program earned previously.
5. Vulnerability.
Due to the high demand of education pertaining popular courses and degree programs,
there is rise of many institution that are currently offering these courses without having
proper accreditations from relevant bodies in the education system. Therefore, students
and parents tend to join these institution due to their naivety. Most of these students are
unsuspecting for these institutions (Peng 2013). These institutions tend to mask
themselves where by the end of the day the student is rendered irrelevant in the field after
consuming a lot of loans to finance their education.
6. Degree versus work.
Entrepreneurs do not need a certificate to venture into business (Segal-Horn 2009). On
the other hand, those who decide to follow HE course will spend their money into a
graduation while an entrepreneur would start a business.
7. Delaying the real world.
Education system is time consuming and may delay the process of achieving personal
goals and personal development.

Time plan.
The time plan is related to how to manage time. First, I will attend an open day so as to learn the
different course offered as per HE courses. This will also involve communicating with admission
tutor so as to be updated with the admission process and all the requirements. Then, I would
attend college and tutorial events so as to be informed on the opportunities relevant to the HE
course (Daft 2015). These events are always educative in nature. This time plan will be done
when in college and is a first class time in terms of quality. On the other hand, I will use my
quality time at work as well as to fix various commitments without disruptions. This quality time
will also be utilized in time of home work as well as education matters. Finally, when fully
exhausted, I would use third class time for parenting.
