Outline of the presentation
The following presentation that would be done is based on motivation and the various
kind of theories that is used to understand and analysis the extent of theories that is needed
for understand about the concept of motivation (Herzberg 2017). The presentation would be
illustrated with the various theories and concept related to motivation and there would also be
discussion of theories like Marlow’s hierarchy theory, Ouchi’s theory, Hygiene theory and
McGregor Theory of X and Y.
At first, there would be discussion of the concept of motivation and the need of
motivation in any kind of organization or profession. After the discussion of that various
needs of motivation, there would be discussion of the various kind of theories that is used for
understanding the extent of the effects of motivation (Peters 2015).
Motivation is classified as the reason for the actions that are taken by people, for their
willingness and the goals that are performed by them. The word motivation is used to denote
the extent of the expression motive and is also derived from that word. The word motive
itself describes as the need that requires satisfaction. These needs of the people could be also
be classified as their desires for fulfilling their wishes. Motivation is considered to be one of
the directional behavior and the causes that are being used by a person for the repeat of the
behavior and the set of force that is inspired for the acts for motivation (Wlodkowski and
Ginsberg 2017). Motivation is considered to be the based on each individuals as it is
considered to be inspired by many events and other people which is considered as extrinsic
motivation or motivation comes from within which is considered as intrinsic motivation.
Motivation is sometimes considered to be one of the most important reason, which helps
people to move forward (Roberts and Treasure 2018). Motivation is also classified as the
interaction of both conscious and unconscious matters.

There are various kinds of theories that used for the explaining motivation. Some of
the major motivational theories are Maslow’s need hierarchy theory, the Herzberg’s
motivation hygiene theory, McClelland’s need theory, McGregor’s participation theory and
Ouchi’s theory. These are some of the famous theories that are used for the motivating people
and help them move forward in life.
It is to be kept in mind that there is always need of motivation for the people that are
meant for keeping the people on the right track. There is always importance of motivation in
organizations as well as other field of employment also. Without proper motivation among
the employees, the organizations would be at risks. Thus, motivation is really important for
estimating the efficiency of any kind of work environment or individual.
The Maslow’s theory of needs is an attribution of the theory that is based on the
psychological approach. The idea of the development is basically based on the extended ideas
of Abraham Maslow, that includes the observation of the human’s innate curiosity. The
theories that are developed by Maslow’s is parallel to the other theories of human psychology
development. Some of these development is basically focusing on the stages of growth in
humans too. Maslow’s have been describing about the reflected universal needs of the society
and their acquired emotions.
The Herzbeerg’s motivational theory, which is also classified as two factor theory argues
about the fact that there are two kinds of factors that are adjusted by the organization for
influencing the motivation among the employees at the workplace. The two factors that are
classified as the factors of the motivational theories are motivating theories and hygiene
factors. The motivation factors includes aspects like achievement, recognition, work itself,
responsibility, advancement and growth. The hygiene factor includes – company policies,
supervision, relationship, work conditions, salary, status and security.
The McGregor’s theory of X and Y is basically classified as a motivational theory that is
mainly used at many management level. The theory that have been proposed by McGregor
explains the contrast model of a workshop motivation factor that is applied by the managerial
member in the human resource management, organizational behavior and organizational
communication. The two factors, theory X and theory Y is also proposed by McGregor.
Theory X suggests that there is importance of heightened supervision, rewards for externals
and penalties too. However, theory Y explains that the motivating of the role of satisfaction
from the job, and the encouragement of the workers for the approach tasks.
Ouchi’s motivation theory, which is also classified as the theory of Z is mainly used for
focusing on the increase of the employee loyalty towards the company as the organization
would be providing job for the entire life. The motivational theory is also used for focusing

on the well-being of the employees, at both on the job and off the job. The theory of Z is the
management approach for the development and the promotion of a stable form of
employment with a high end productivity and high employee morals as well as satisfaction.
For the development of team building while conducting a project, there should be necessary
amount of training that is needed for the analysis and making of the team. The development
of the team is highly likely to be based on the following steps. The steps that are necessary
developed and made team building are – forming, storming, norming, performing, and
adjourning. The processes that are defined as, people are brought together as means of a
team, there is a lot of disagreement as some of the people are learning for working to
together, team members are being built for good working relationship, team members
becomes effective and starts to work effectively altogether and hence, the project ends and
the team is disbanded.
The training that is provided by the management for the team members is the special
opportunity. Each of the team member would be given special sets of training that would help
the in enhancing their skills to work in the corporate world. The training provided also helps
in decreasing the overall cost of the project and increases the efficiency of the work.
There are various kind of activities that are used for team building. The activities not only
teaches the team members to act as on in a team, but also helps the members of the team to
work cooperatively with one another. The activities also helps the members to learn how to
work while they are working in a team. Some of the team building activities are – taking the
class together, milestone parties, birthday celebration and holidays, trips, WBS creation and
getting each of the team members in the process of plan making.
Personality is an important aspect that is needed for every human being. Personality makes
each human being different from one another and helps them get recognized by other people.
The various kinds of personalities that are recognized by many experts. Out of them, sixteen
major personalities are distinguished and are marked as some of the most distinguished
personalities. The personalities are – ISTJ ( The Duty Fulfiller), ISTP ( The Mechanic), ISFJ
(The Nurturer), ISFP (The Artist), INFL (The protector), INFP (The Idealist), INTJ (The
Scientist), INTP (The Thinker), ESTP (The Doer), ESTJ (The Guardian), ESFP (The
Performer), ESFJ (The Caregiver), ENFP (The Inspirer), ENFJ (The Giver), ENTP (
