This French word “raison d’être” gives a great meaning, at means “Reason of Living” . This words
describes that what is the most important things for a person.
Professional reflective practice means to get the review of you own work or in other words,
thinking about the result of the work you have done earlier. Students generally do their work, but if
they don't find the reflection of it then the work is not having any worth. Reflective practice can
also be as the learning from the experience.(Knott and Scragg., 2016) As students have done any
project which has assigned to them, and if they only submit it without finding their work quality and
mistake, then they will never do anything different and also will not learn anything. So it is
necessary for every professor or teacher to show students their own work, so that they can find the
mistake and do work better next time.
The reflective practice has very good implications over student, as it has improved the
quality of work of students and also there is improvement seen in their knowledge . Due to reading
work for two times they understand what is work all about, as they get more clarity about their own
work. Reflective practice is applied in so many university so that students may get improvement.
(Leigh., 2016)
Profession reflective practice is very useful in professional environment, whenever person
who is doing work professionally and do work with professional reflective practice improves its
quality of work, also reduce mistake and learns so much from it. Professional environment needs so
much hard work as you are not only learner at that time, you have to perform many things. Like
teacher who's profession is to educate students, so to teach student teaches should be experts of the
subject and expertness comes from reviewing yourself.(Knott and Scragg., 2016)
Purpose behind reflective practice is to get success with great knowledge. Individual who do
work with reflective practice gets good knowledge. As individual with high experience do work
with high quality. Reflective practice should be done by every individual either a student or a
person in profession.(Fook., 2015)
One of the reflection model is Boud's triangular model which is considered as the simplest
reflective model. It clarifies that experience and reflection gives a way to learning. The negative
aspect of this model that it does not show that how learning should translate to the experience. The
second reflection practice model is Gibbs reflective model describes that person felling influence
situation and how he will reflect over this situation. This model was an upgraded version of Boud's
model, but their was a negative argument over it they this model is very must superficial. This
models are having little bit of relation with individuals life, as these model do not give much
clarification to a person's life.
