INTRODUCTION
Understanding self and other is the important aspect for each and every individual
because all have various core skill and attribute. The report covers the reflective personal
development plan on the basis of selected core skill such as Time management skills, Team
work, Problem solving, communication Skills. Further, it also covers the summer and action plan
for development of weakness on the basis of analysis.
1 Reflective Personal Development Plan.
What is the core skill?
From my point of, each and every individual required certain skills to achieve high growth and
development in personal as well professional career. There are various core skills and attribute
which I need to focus such as, Time management skills, Team work, Problem solving,
communication Skills. Hence, the corer skill can be define as the functional and employable
skills that enable me to utilize source and communication effectively or to bring a positive and
effective contribution in my professional career(Matza and Sykes, 2017). I have to set a small
and longs terms objectives for make a better development with the considerations of all the
core skills.
Why is this core skill important? (use relevant theories and concepts to support your answer)
This core skill are important because in my personal and professional development I have to
perform various task. On the basis of task each and every core skills is utilized for positive
impact on the personal as well professional task which I have to accomplish as per the
demand.
Time management Skill: This can be most important skill which I need to focus for my
personal and professional development to manage each and every activity in the firm or
personal life. Time management is not challenging as theoretical but it is surprisingly strong to
do in practices. I have to invest few times to understand my task to manage with time by set up
priorities for each and every work. The benefit of the time management is to give time for each
and every activity which I required to perform for my better development. From the Priority
Matrix I am easily give time to for my work. In which I have to take action comes under the
high importance require to completed first and action need for another activity required to do
next. The task which are low importance I have to do later the activity or task which does not

Communication Skill: This is the another core skill, which is important for me to develop for
effective development of personal and professional development. I am able to communicate
effectively which is the major significant of all the skill which I have. It refers as the act of
transferring information to one individual to other. There are various effective communication
skills which are important for the personal growth and development. Interpersonal
communication skill help to build my personal as well professional relationships. The verbal
communication is considerer what I say, which is an important manner of sending my message
across the people. The non verbal communication which includes gesture, posturer, facial
expression, body language, tone of voice and even my appearance while meeting with others.
The another communication skill which is listening it is the most important interpersonal
communication skills which assist me to develop individual relationship with my colleague
and household members. If they are facing any issues I can easily solve out by listening their
problems. Therefore, communication skill will is benefits for my personal and professional
development.
Team work: This is the most important skill which will help in my effective development
growth in personal as well professional career. If I am not able to coordinate with my group
that will show my poor team work skills. A team work is important for achieve my
professional objective which is important for my own development as well my team. This can
be benefits for achieving organisation goals. If I am not able to coordinate with my team for
any task that will be negative impact on whole team as well my own performance with these
outcomes of task can not be appropriate.
Problem Solving Skills: Problems are the common in each and every individual. In my life I
have to face various issues on day to day basis. Problems solving skill is the important aspect
which I required to give more importance for effective development as well avoids extra
stress in my personal and professional career. It refers as the skill which will help to solve any
issues or problem in an individual. The benefits of the problems solving skill will help me out
to solve any query which is come across in my professional and personal growth. To develop
this skill I have to first define the issues which is come across. This step will assist to find out
the actual cause of problems. For instance if I am working in HR division for that certain
issues required to deal on day to day life. So it is important for me to focus on my problems

At present I am not able to manage my time for each and every action which I require taking
on my personal life. It is important for me give priority on each and every individual and task
need to finish in actual time. I had found out that managing all the task at one time can not
give effective output but to complete each and every task on time is the important aspect.
These core skill are not in effective because I have major issues to manage more task at one
time is not possible for me. Even though I can compete with my colleague and other individual

interpersonal communication brings better relationship with my friends and colleague will give

people which puts negative impact on my personal and professional development. If I have to
communicate with any message to each and every individual will be most important aspect in
my personal and professional career development. But required to develop effective time
management skill which will be important aspect in my personal as well professional growth, I
will give importance to each and every task as per the requirement of time to complete though
I am able to do certain task but most of task are not completing I time. But I communication
skill I am glad to have effective communication which bring positivity in me. I am competent
enough to solve any issues which are important to remove for avoid any big damage in my
personal and professional carer. This can be possible with the better problems solving core
skill and attribute present in me. If I am not able to solve my problem than it create huge issues
for me but I required to keep passion at certain issues because it is not important for me solve
every problem which come across in my personal as well professional life. Further, team work
is the important for me and I have capabilities to work with the certain group which give
positive impact on my personal as well professional development. My peer also said that I

have strong coordination capabilities in team work. So these kinds of feedback make my task
better when I am working in team. But I need to improve my time manage skills and
somewhat problems solving skill which are the important for effective growth and
development. According to my tutor they suggest me to focus on certain training and
development course which will assist me to improve time management skill and problems
solving skills. I believed in myself to be in relation to this core skill to comparison on the
basis of various reviews and other information collected for making more competent in my
personal and professional development.

I had found out that my own time management is the biggest weaknesses and it gives more
hindrance in my overall productivity and create various issues in between task are the reason
behind the slow accomplishment of task. The main contradiction I identified that due to poor
time management skill it gives more time on certain task and the issues which are arisen in
between the work is easily solved by me due to effective problems solving skills. it is affecting
in my ability to perform certain task in team as well my personal work. I had use the priority
matrix for time management skill improvement. Under which each and every activity is
divided on the basis of important and low importance which is really effective as well benefit
to manage my time for certain activity in personal and professional career. Therefore, these
techniques provide the actual outcomes for managing various activity on the basis of Priority
matrix.
How will this skill help me in the future?
This skill will help in my future career development in terms managing my studies I required a
better time management skill. Communication skill will help me to ask any issues in my
studies or to built more network for my personal as well professional development. Team work
will be help me out to make any project in group which required to coordinate and if any
problem arise in my studies or career I can take action as per my abilities. So all the skill
required to be develop and implement for fulfil my future requirement(Strohminger, Knobe
