In the present era it is very important to develop inter personal skills for career
development. These skills help in achieving goals and objectives in effective way. Moreover, it
is useful in creating unique and distinct image in front of others. Personal skills and attributes
develops and grows with more experience and gaining more knowledge. This report will show
different skills that is required in individual to work with others. Along with this why it is
important to possess these skills and its importance in working is discussed. Besides this, it will
also show how they can be improved by using various self assessment tools. In the end it shows
contradiction in regards with these attributes (Catmur, Cross, and Over,, 2016)

Skills and knowledge plays a crucial role in effectively working with others. These personal
skills depend upon the persons abilities. It grows and develops with experience in working. A
personal professional plan is required in order to develop and manage the skills. This plan is
useful in learning and evaluating skills that helps a person in developing his career. There are
various range of skills and knowledge that is required to work with others. These are described
below:-
Time management- It is the most important skill that helps in organising and planning of tasks
according to their priority. It divides task in different time intervals so it becomes easy to give
specific time in completing each task. It enables a person to work smarter not harder as work is
done in less time with more efficiency. Even when pressure is high it allows a person to think
with cool mind set and find out ways to complete work. Proper time management increases
greater productivity and efficiency by focusing on important life and career goals. It helps ion
reducing stress that leads in balancing professional and personal life (.Kang., Gray,. and
Dovidio,, 2015). An individual will be more dependent in decision-making and will be more
focused towards greater life goals.
Team working- In order to complete task in effective way it is essential that task is done in
teams. It allows an individual to focus only on one task rather than focusing of other task. This

Updating task list- The activities that were done was remove from the list. In this way updating
the list helped me in quickly reviewing the most and least important.
Focusing on higher targets I started completing smaller task that lead to boost confidence in
me. With this I was able to focus on higher targets.
Eliminating distractions- It was useful to eliminate distraction that was coming in my way. It
leads to improve my productivity and consistency.
