INTRODUCTION
Understanding self and others is an important aspect in personal development of a
business person (Understanding self and others. 2018). This strategy helps the person in adopting
the problem's solution so that it can develop skills in which it has to do improvement. In this
report, three types of skills are explained in which I have to do improvement which are team
working, conflict resolution, written communication. The skill in which I am good from others is
negotiation skills. Therefore solution to the problems of skills is defined in this report.

What is the core skill to develop?
Team working is the art of group working in which a group of individuals are gathered to
perform a specific task. The core skill which I have to develop is team working because this is
the skill which is mostly used to operate a team.
Why is this core skill important? Why did I select this skill to reflect on?
There are many reasons to develop a team few of them are as follows:
Team work motivates unity in work place:
The main reason why team work is important that it helps in working with unity (Social
cognition Bass and Yammarino, 2016). Team always works on a specific task which is
required to be done by a team. Therefore it is required that the team should work in unity so
that the completion of work will be on time and accurate.
Team work allows different perspective:
When different minds are working together to do a specific task than there could be different
perspectives of each individual. These perspectives help to solve the problem with different
ways. Therefore team work helps in solving the problem with ease.
Team work provides improved productivity:
When different perspectives work together to do a specific task than the productivity of an
individual also increases. This will help in increasing the productivity of organization also.
Team work provides great learning opportunities:
Since team work provides different perspectives to think therefore the chances of learning also
increases. Learning capacity helps an employee in improving it's thinking power so that it can
help the organization to move forward.
From my personnel point of view, this skill is important for me to develop my leading skill so
that I can move forward in personal and professional career. This skill also help in improving
better communication because a leader has to communicate with it's followers to make the
task done with others.

I am having team working skill but I want to develop this skill which is beneficial for me and
my business. Therefore this skill is important for me. The problem in team working is that I

explained by my seniors and friends. They have analysed in office that I was unable to
perform the task with others. That is what my seniors and friends suggested me to develop
this skills.

The problem when first arises my friends and seniors suggested me to take proper training for
this skills but I wasn't agree with their perspective. When again this problem occurs with me,
than I asked my seniors to help me according to the situation. The situation was that my
follower denied to work for the additional task which was available due to the leave of an
employee. Than I realised that my seniors and friends have suggested me in my favour. At
that moment I analysed that perception of mine and my friends and seniors was same.
How might this skill help me in the future?
This skill is very good to develop one's maturity and experience. The problem I am facing is
that I am not able to work with others. When this problems gets resolved I will be able to face
any situation to work. This will also helps me in making things done from others. If it happens
it could be one of the greatest achievement of mine.

Written Communication is the art of conveying, reporting the messages through writing. The
next core skill which I have to develop is working communication because communication
skill is very important to sustain oneself in business environment.

By the use of effective written communication I can uplift my productivity. When I
communicate with my seniors effectively then will intend to know me better. This will help
them in finding the issues related to my productivity. Therefore my productivity will be
increased due to effective written communication.
Professional image enhances
When I communicate effectively with my colleagues and seniors it will enhance my
professional image in front of them. Than it is also possible that I will gain promotion or
having a good profile in which communication skill is required very much.

When good communication is established among the employees and me than the chances of
getting fair reply from them increases (Yammarino and Atwater, 2017). Each person is treated
as it treats others, therefore I need to improve my written communication skills to progress my
professional career.
Above are the reason by which I have to develop this skill. This skill not only help me the
professional career development but also in the development of my personnel life. Written
communication is also essential in the professional development by impressing the seniors.

Written communication skill is important for everyone not only to develop it's professional
but also personnel life. My written communication skill is not so good therefore I have to
develop this skill so that I can develop my career in personnel and professional life. The
problem I am having is given to me by my friends and manager which is responsible for the
human resource. They said that your written communication skill needs to be improved that is
why I am trying to improve this skill.

When I write something administrative for my seniors and followers they doesn't take that
seriously and told me to develop my writing skill. The next days my manager called me to
improve this skill therefore I need a tutor or online courses to improve this skill. As my
manager said about this improvement I would have realised that this skill is necessary for me
and my career.
How might this skill help me in the future?
When I get used to with this skill than my followers and seniors get impressed with my
written communication skills. This will happen because I will talk to them in an ethical way
and thus impress them to make decision in my favour. Therefore in future I would also
increase my professional career.

The process of finding the solution to difficult and complex issues is called conflict resolution.

There are three main reason why conflict resolution skill is important for me:
Make the impossible possible:
Conflict resolution is an important skill in which problems related to conflict ions can be
solved(Lambe and McLeod, 2015). The problems sometime are tough enough that they seems
to be solved impossible. Getting solve these conflict ions will make me to convert impossible
to possible. This will allow me to develop my conflict resolution skills.
Makes me a stand out:
Conflict resolution technique is not an easy task for for everyone. If am a conflict resolver than
I would have been recognised in office so that it will make me stand out amongst others.
Increased confidence:
When I have recognised by the office managers that I am a conflict resolver. Than the
reputation in working environment increases. This will help in increase my confidence level.
I have selected this skill to develop because as a team leader I would like to be a conflict
resolver. This makes me to develop this skill so that I would have become fluent in this skill.

employees gets resolved.

When negotiation among the employees is done than it helps in achieving the goals and
objectives of individual. Negotiation helps me in resolving the issues related with the
employees. Thus with the help of negotiation an employee will be able to work with free mind
and hence increase its productivity and efficiency. With the help of this I can be able to achieve
the goal of organization.

My friends and colleagues have suggested me to develop this skill but I get to know that I am

Negotiation help me in future in following areas:
Increased understanding:
When negotiation among the employees resolved it will help employees in increment of
understanding among themselves. Through this in future employees will not be in issue and
thus helps me in making work from others.
Reduce tension:
Negotiation also help in reducing the tension among the employees. When employee are
working free of tension this will help them in increasing their productivity and thus it will assist
me in making work from them.

CONCLUSION
In this report it can be concluded that I am facing some issues in a few skills such as team
working, written communication and conflict resolution while I have proper skill in Negotiation.
There are solutions in this journals by which I can improve these skills. I have done a personnel
development plan to execute the weakness into strength which will take some time.
