Social work can be classified as a profession that people pursues with the solo purpose of
helping others and families in need, and also deals with different problem that are faced by them.

Social work have many practical applications. Given below are the five most important
core social work values.
1. Services – Pubic services can be demonstrated as the primary goal of social workers.
2. Social Justice – Social workers fights for social justice and social crimes.
3. Values – Social workers fight for social dignity of vulnerable persons.
4. Human relationship – Social workers spread the awareness of identifying human
relationship.
5. Integrity – Social workers try to maintain an integrity within the organization.

It could be further demonstrated as the rights of first zone that are civil and political
rights. Other that these, there are rights such as right of speech, process right, freedom of religion
and movement freedom, that can be classified as first zonal rights. These kind of rights are also
known as negativus rights. The third zone rights are the one that are interested in the issues that
require people to collaborate with each other.

Social work was first initiated as a profession in the 19th century. It was started as a
movement that was experienced in United State of America and the U.K. When feudalism was
demised, the people that were suffering from poverty were recognized as threat in the order of
the society.

The Industrial revolution have provided great advancement in the scientific and
technological field. Industrial revolution was the implementation of new processes for
manufacturing throughout Europe and United State of America that took place in between 1760
to 1840.

With the rise in new technologies in the manufacturing platform, people were gathering
from all around the world in Europe and the United State of America. They were employed to
serve in the factories and manufacturing plants. Thus, with almost no money in hand, people
were left with no resources to eat or save. Social work came to the play at that very moment.
Social workers provided food and proper allocation to the low paid labors.

Globalization have effected social workers and their work in many ways. There have
been rise of new problem that included need of the poor in the new globalized world. There have
been rise in homelessness, unemployment and migration of labors in international basis.Social

work can also be included as the agent for globalization. It deals with human rights and social
justices that are not given to the labors that are effected by the rise of globalization.
