1PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Topic of Discussion:
The topic that is chosen for the discussion is the unhelpful behaviour in the organizations
that causes into project management complexity. I am agreeing with the fact that the unhelpful
behaviour in a company can cause the project management complexity. For complete any project
successfully the staff of the company must support and help all the employee of the organization.
A person is seeking help but cannot getting the help can cause complexity in the project (Cicmil
et al., 2017). An employee can only grow if the employee learn certain things from the superiors
of the company and for this help is necessary.
Introduction:
In the processes of the project management the complexity mainly happens because of
the mindset of the people. In many company the main reasons of the complexity are when the
people of various department works together. This mainly happens because not every people are
having the same opinion. The people of the project may have different loyalty, different
language, different point of view and different culture. Sometimes the complexity is made
deliberately for the internal politics of the company and not providing help to certain people. The
project management cannot be succeeded if the unhelpful behaviour is continuously happens in
the company. The unhelpful behaviour is can be stated as the behavioural complexity. The bigger
is the project team the number of issues will be bigger regarding the behavioural complexity. For
example, when I joined my office I was not very accustomed with the rules and regulation of the
organization. I approached our Human representative to get accustomed with the rules and
regulation of the organization (Cooke-Davies 2017). Human representative was not very helpful

as he did not relay much information to me. Hence the very next day I was in a wrong dress
code. Our team manager scolded me for not being able to maintain the dress code. This was
when a complexity raised in between me and my team manager. Entire situation would not have
risen if the human representative of our company was helpful in nature and the complexity can
be avoided.
Discussion:
The organizations behavioural complexity is in the various part of the project
management like the important decisions are taken lately, the project requirements are changed
by the client, project management interfere in the team, lack of trust in the decision making. The
manager of the project is have to make sure that any kind of project issue cannot be occurred and
because of that it is necessary to establish a proper method of communication (Gul & Williams
2017).
The behavioural complexity within the team of the project management can raise many
concerns for the manager of the project. The employee that is needed the help is can be for the
project and if he did not get the help the project might get affected by this. The objective of the
project can get affected due to that ads the employee didn’t get the help properly (Ahern, Leavy
& Byrne 2014). It is necessary for the employee to communicate within themselves and solve
each problem as per requirement by helping each other.
The unhelpful behaviour sometimes can be blessing for the employee as the employee
can do the work without any ones help which can be benefitted for the employee in future
projects.

Conclusion:
From the above discussion it can be said that the unhelpful behaviour can affect the
project in many ways and it is the duty of the project manager to solve this kind of issues within
the organizations. The project can be completed without any complexity if the unhelpful
behaviour can be mitigated from the employee of the organizations.
