INTRODUCTION
Community engagement is defined by addressing the social concerns and issues in the
society and coordinating effort of different individuals in order to attain social and economic
welfare. UNICEF (United Nations international children’s emergency fund). It is an organisation
that that renders its services for social welfare across the world. It completely depends on
government and private funds. UNICEF uses different approaches in order to promote
community engagement and challenges faced by people in the society. UNICEF renders social
activities like improving sanitation, promoting education, health relief and promoting different
activities to help the vulnerable groups of the society. This report covers relationship with the
stakeholders of UNICEF determine the community engagement in UNICEF with the range of
skills knowledge and strategies in order to carry out different jobs by the employees in the
Organisation. Determine how social media platforms supports the programs of UNICEF training
in development of employs to deal with sociocultural issues, determine different approaches for
training the employees and external business factors that promotes relationship with its network
partners (Di Napoli, Dolce and Arcidiacono, 2019).
LITERATURE REVIEW
Determine the stakeholder relationship of UNICEF and how they engage with them
Stakeholders are defined by the group of people who are interested in The business
activities of any specific company. Similarly, UNICEF maintains a good relationship with its
stakeholders in order to implement different welfare strategies. UNICEF mainly have five
stakeholders which involves employees, investors, suppliers communities and government.
UNICEF engages with them using social media platforms and other communication channels
(Harsh and et.al, 2017).
UNICEF maintains a good relationship with the government by complying with all the rules and
regulations framed by the government. It conducts its social welfare programs and schemes
through the government interventions in approvals promoting the fair and legal business image
in the global market. UNICEF completely depends on government and other investors for
funding in the business activities where government renders different schemes of financing the
social programs.

UNICEF uses different social media platforms in order to rightly engage with its stakeholders. It
delivers its social message and policies framed in the social accounts, which attracts the interest
of its stakeholders and they engage with the social activities of the company. UNICEF states the
all the measures and policies that is been implemented by the company which reflects the
transparency in business activities which helps to develop trust and reliability of the stakeholders
of the company. With the social media platforms, it improves the communication channels of the
company with its stakeholders, different private investors and government offers financial
assistance and non-financial solution to UNICEF which helps to achieve growth and
sustainability of the organisation in the global market (Hollebeek, Juric and Tang, 2017).
Determine the training and development of employees in UNICEF required for dealing
socio-cultural issues
UNICEF renders training in development opportunity to its employees in order to help
them to understand that how to deal with the social or cultural issues. Training in development
activities is crucial to develop the thinking and learning abilities of employees in the workplace
and rightly perform all the duties. Apart from the technical and soft skills it is important for an
employee in UNICEF to develop the social skills which involves Taking social concerns of the
people and building good relationship with them. UNICEF renders training and development
opportunities to the employees at all levels of the organisation.
Moreover, when employees learn new languages, it helps them to respect different cultural and it
promotes removes the barriers of language. Multicultural training and development activities:
Employees in UNICEF are rendered multicultural training and development opportunities in
order to develop the knowledge about different culture followed which further helps the
employees to address such measures to promote the equality in social and cultural factors of the
society.
Training and development for socio-cultural issues- As UNICEF focuses to address all the social
cultural issues faced by the vulnerable groups. In the training and development approaches
employees are been taught about the issues and challenges in the society which involves child
development, food and home security to vulnerable groups, alleviation of poverty and other
social issues (Jacob and et.al, 2015).

develop their decision making abilities in different scenarios.

able to know all the right in measures that are taken by UNICEF, aware all the important issues
faced in the society

The need of training employees on multiculturalism
Global image: In order to maintain the global image in the market UNICEF need to deploy
highly skilled and knowledge employees about different socio cultural factors. In order to
continue rendering value services and support in society, the organisation needs to continue
rendering training and development approaches to the employees to fair conduct different
organisational objectives. Training and development in multiculturalism helps the employees to
rightly manage the workforce diversity and targeted groups. It is important to respect each
cultural as vulnerable groups including poor people, women and children from different cultural
needs to identify each individual as equal. The employees in UNICEF shares equality of cultural
factors among vulnerable groups and educating children different languages and cultural and
social belief leading to social equality and justice (Pratt, Cheah, and Marsh, 2020).
External factors that needs to considered are as:
Political factors: These involves complying with all the legal policies framed by the
government, UNICEF needs to comply with all the legal frameworks of the government or
respective country it is operating in order to maintain the global image and acquire financial and

Social factors: It involves the social and cultural beliefs like education, religion, lifestyle pattern
of the people living in different location. UNICEF needs to follow these social factors, to

protection and safety which helps to save social cost and take make company socially

RECOMMENDATIONS
Employee training on multiculturalism: UNICEF should render multiculturalism training and
development opportunities to the employees in the organisation which involves respecting
different cultures and diversity in the organisation. As UNICEF is a is a global organisation,
which delivers social cultural value in the society. It should render the employees training that
how different cultures evolves, what are the practices followed in each culture and maintaining
equality in the organisation. Following multiculturalism in the organisation by respecting and
addressing the different cultural in the society will help to build good relationship with its
partners and stakeholders (Sallnow and Paul, 2015).
Other different approaches that can be implemented by UNICEF in order to maintain the global
social image of the organisation and develop a good relationship between different organisation
and its network partners. Such social issues are as:
Climatic factors: UNICED should raise the concerns about the climatic change, where it should
aware people that how people can contribute to prevent pollution and save environment from
negative impact. It should run save environment campaign by using internet as a platform to
engage large number of people in the society
Sustainable energy: With the high demand of use of nonrenewable sources, these resources are
depleting with the increased uses. UNICEF should promote the concept of using sustainable
energy which involves using renewable source of energy like hydropower, wind energy, solar
energy in order to save the nonrenewable resources (Saltmarsh, 2017).
Wildlife: UNICEF should promote the idea of saving the wildlife, and how it is important to
maintain the ecological balance in the environment, with the extinct many species in the world, it
can harm the ecological balance and thus lead to damage human lives and mother nature.

maintain the corporate image by taking social responsibility and promoting social welfare in
society.
