Executive Summary
The purpose of the report is to identify the appropriate methods or techniques for
supporting as well as providing equal opportunity to working coming from disadvantaged
background or minority groups. Project also have focus on the problems or issues faced by
charitable institutions in providing assistance to people belonging to minority group. It has been
identified from that several barriers faced by charitable institution in providing equal opportunity
to people is lack of abilities in employees. Training programme is the appropriate event in order
to allow employees to develop skills and well as core competencies which will help them in
exploring as well as capturing several career opportunities. Objective of the assignment is to
recommend as well as explain training programme will assist management team in UNICEF in
developing employability skills of staff who belongs to minority background.
Background
Disabled people are those who belongs to financially background family, and have local
economic status. Due to which these people does able to get the facilities and resources which
are essential for personal and professional growth. Some disabled people may also include
homeless youth, Aboriginal and people with disability. Communities and charitable institution
can help economically background people in improving their life style and generating the income
source. It is required by management staff in UNICEF or other charitable institutions to motivate
people with disabilities, mature-age candidates, the long-term unemployed candidates,
disadvantaged youth to apply for job in an organisation. It is the duty of management team in an
enterprise to ensure that existing employees or workers are genuinely open to employing new
candidates who belong to minority group.
As per the report of international labour organisation there are approx.599 million people
who are disabled. Many charitable organisations are working to give these individuals a better
chance at finding and maintaining sufficient employment. There are some disadvantage
associated with providing opportunities to disabled people. People perceptions about the disabled
population, often keep qualified workers out of a job or comfortable working environment can
create various barriers in providing equal opportunities to people belonging to minority
background. The evaluations of UNICEF contribution in providing equal opportunity to
employees to perform specific task or activity at workplace. The objective of UNICEF behind
conducting the training programme is to eliminate discrimination among workers in an enterprise

intelligent leader is that they have the understanding about the implications of emotion and these
leaders have potential to recognise the internal skills or abilities of an individual. It is required by
manager or leader to develop emotional skills as this will help them in identifying the problems
faced by their subordinates. It will also enable manager or leader to provide appropriate solution
to the several issues faced by their co workers. Emotional skills will assist manager or leaders in
developing as well as maintaining strong relationship with subordinates. There are main five
components of emotional intelligence these are Self awareness, Self regulation, motivation and
empathy. Self awareness indicates that leaders have understanding about their actions as well as
they are the impact of particular decision or activity on other people at workplace. Self
awareness is very important in terms of designing or making arrangement for disable people. It
is very mush essential for leaders to manage their own emotions as this factors have direct as
well as significant influence of emotion. Rapid emotional decision can have some harmful
consequences as well. In context of organisation, emotional decision taken by the leaders in
order to support minority people may lead to the injustice with qualified, skilled and talented
worker (Robertson, 2017)

management is considered to be an effective model which is based on the belief that transition
procedures require effective coordination among the counsellors , family member of disable
people, and candidate. Method which can be adopted for training to people is behaviour therapy
which will help disable person in developing the abilities as well as positive behaviour (Zakaria,
Karim and Jeganathan, 2017)

disable people in recognising their own abilities , strength and core competencies. Unrealistic
comparisons should be avoided at workplace as this factors can lead to demotivation in people.
Counsellors are required to appreciate an individual for completing the task, as this activity will
help them in developing confidence and self esteem. This strategy will also encourage disable
people to taker responsibility of completing other work as well (Stepanova, Shmeleva and Savin,
2018)

It has been concluded from the report that disable or people who belongs to minority
