INTRODUCTION
The world is facing humanitarian crisis, among which Yemen, one of the less privileged
economy is the major sufferer. It has been a disaster for the little ones to sustain, for which
UNICEF has started an humanitarian program (AL-ABD and et. al. 2020). The children of
Yemen are suffering from the shortage of major essentials including food, clean water,
sanitisation and education. The country was in situation of emergency and Covid has it in more
emergency situations. The country lack basic supplies like oxygen, masks and gloves to fight
corona virus. The corona warriors are even not getting paid due to lack of funds.
REFLECTIVE SUMMARY
While I was going through the research and exploring internet, this humanitarian program of
UNICEF supporting Yemen, the causes I studied under this report enhanced my knowledge and
made my view more particular towards the malnutrition of kids. I discovered that how much is it
important for the developed nations to help underprivileged nations to upgrade the well being of
little ones who are the future generations. This increased my learning regarding how UNICEF
focuses on the dual aspect of life saving system and strengthen the system which runs Yemen.
This made me know about the strategies which can be used economically and help the country to
fight Covid. The outbreak of corona virus reduced the upliftment which occurred from the initial
days of the humanitarian program. The study examines how the funds allotted for the program is
used equally for the challenges an economy is going through. This increased my knowledge
about the functioning of UNICEF, how the funds are received and then how they are allotted for
the upliftment. The organisation works with the local bodies and non government bodies to
provide relief in t6erms of emergency(lshakka and et. al. 2020).
It has extended malnutrition treatment, vaccinations, sanitisation, health screenings,
school supplies, water, food and many more. Apart from UNICEF this made me know about
more ways money can be donated for Yemen like The Red Cross, Oxfam and so on. Apart from
UNICEF many countries like UK, US, Saudi Arab are also extending their hands for improving
conditions of Yemen. My position as a student making this report made me known about the
importance of stakeholders in conducting any project in any nation. Stakeholders being the major
people for the funds are to be kept at priority and are to be informed prior discussing the whole
plan and to be approved by them. The major stakeholders are private bodies including actors or

the NGO's, government institutions, civil societies. The critical study of stakeholder analysis
made me learn the various models and to study the shortcomings and positive outcomes of stake-
holder's role(Birchall 2020). The critical evaluation of stakeholder analysis for any project
whether profit earning or non profit earning helps in checking the conflicts of interest among
stakeholders and examine the participation level which can be expected from the stakeholders.
Role of stakeholder is mandatory as they can either advance loans or block the funds
which can affect the smooth working of the project. This is where Power Interest Grid model of
the stake-holder's analysis comes in limelight. In this stakeholders are characterised on basis of
of their interest and power in the project. Power Interest Grid is a matrix which differentiate
stakeholder on the event of project change and gives direction to manage them efficiently. Under
this model there are two elements, stake-holder's interest and their power, which categorise them
on the basis of their high and low satisfaction which can affect the results. The larger the
organisation more are the stakeholders , some of them may give funds in advance or some may
block it. Although every stakeholder has its own importance, regardless of that they are
categorised for more precise working. The first step is to highly examine your stakeholders,
regarding who are having high interest and low power need to be monitored and kept informed
and kept minimal observance as they are in favour of the project which will make them keep
connected, and their power is not considered of that high relevance. The stakeholder having low
interest and high power are to be kept satisfied and managed closely as they are the main
resource for the funds. When the stakeholder has both, they need to be managed well as they are
most profitable people and least problematic to tackle. The stakeholder whether people or
organisation, in the end only people has to be communicated at the end. In the same way,
UNICEF has categorised its stakeholders for Yemen project where high interest and low power
holding stakeholders were informed and were told about the details as and when
required(Blackburn and et. al. 2020). The UNICEF stakeholders having low interest and high
power were closely managed and communicated well, taking their timely feedbacks and keeping
them satisfied because they were the ones who hold major role in working of the project.
The stakeholders having equilibrium of interest and power for the Yemen project were an asset
to the firm who believed in a social cause to be an essential activity and supported it highly.
They reduced the process of keeping them well informed and taking timely feedbacks to keep
them attracted to the project unlike others(Dureab and et. al. 2020). Some of the stakeholders
