Employees are the individuals who are working in organisation with the help of which
organisation can get positive impact because of understanding and analysing changes in
appropriate manner. If organisation wants to expand business in more than one country, then it is
important that workers have to get positive impact of it. Unilever is considered for conducting
this study. This association deals in retail sector and serving in different parts of country (Noe
and et. al., 2017).
RESEARCH BACKGROUND AND QUESTIONS
Globalisation is the process under which association have operations in more than one
country. In order to provide satisfactory services to consumers, employees have to be active and
work as per external market such as proper use of updated technology, etc. When employees are
engaged and performing operations properly then possibilities of growth is more.
Objectives
ï‚· To study the basic concept of employees participation and globalisation of business.
ï‚· To understand the importance of employees participation for globalisation of Unilever.
ï‚· To determine the strategies with which workforce participation can be improved at
Unilever.
LITERATURE REVIEW
Basic concept of employees participation and globalisation of business
In words of Chitra Reddy, 2019 Employees participation refers to the way in which
workforce is engaged in decision making and actively participate in operations of organisation.
Employees work on the behalf of organisation and represent in front of consumers, so their
involvement is important. Globalisation of business is the planned way under which organisation
follow some rules and regulations in order to operate in more than one country. There is
difference in demand of consumers as per change in geographical region, so it has to be
considered for the growth of association (So and et. al., 2016).

Importance of employees participation for globalisation of Unilever
As per Brittni Brown , 2019 When work force is engaged in conducting operations, then
there is use of new and innovative style which can be used for better performance. There is
proper and relevant information about consumer's feedback which employees are actively
performing their assigned roles and responsibilities. Hence work force participation is important
which association wants to operate at international level.
Strategies with which workforce participation can be improved at Unilever
As per Sampson Quain, 2019 In order to improve and increase employees participation,
there are some strategies such as flexible working hours, family policies, social activities, etc.
with which employees are satisfied and they also try best to get best. Managers of Unilever must
take regular feedback from consumers regarding improvement in working strategies. This makes
proper change in working style as well. When employee get paternity leaves, then they are
satisfied that organisation is ensuring their social and family requirements, then they must also
consider organisational advantages (Sattar, Ahmad and Hassan, 2015).
RESEARCH METHODS
Research design
For this study researcher will use descriptive research design which is one of the most
effective because it provides complete and specific information. If there is use of some
technique, then it is easy to get its justification.
Research approach
Deductive approach is used because this focus on broad aspects of employee participation
earlier and then focus on narrow aspects,. Hence it easy to make research understandable.
Sampling techniques
Simple random sampling technique is used because this provides better options for
understanding perception of respondents (Shields and et. al., 2015).
Sample size
10 managers from Unilever re selected for collecting primary information.

LIMITATIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FUTURE RESEARCH
While conducting this study, researcher face problem which affects research outcome
such as conflict in view of team mates, lack of time problem arise in collecting primary
information. These are the issues which arise while conducting study due to which researcher
miss the deadline for completing study (Taneja, Sewell and Odom, 2015).
SCHEDULE OF WORK
There are many activities which has to be performed by researcher for conducting study
such as introduction, setting aims and objectives, approval of proposal, etc. which will be
completed within specified time. This investigation will be performed within estimated time of
14 weeks.

INTRODUCTION
In this report, there is discussion about understanding and analysing changes which are
considered while conducting investigation. With the help of this study, it is easy for researcher to
have complete and specific learning ways through which they can assist in completing study
(Farrell and Ives, 2015). With the help of this study, I gain changes with assist me in completing
study and make operations in appropriate manner. In this study, there is reflection about
understanding changes which are taking place, but this makes proper analysis of making policies
as per understanding. This is the way with the help of which reader what aspects are used in this
study. With this I gain different components which assist me in completing study and gaining
proper knowledge about methodologies which are used.
CRITICAL REFLECTION
There is requirement of complete and specific information about ways through which
research is performed. This is the way which makes assist in analysing changes and providing
information about completing study. This is the way which makes me understand that cognitive
theories are better for studying changes. In order to conduct reflection, it is important that Kobb's
Model have to be used (Fook, 2015). This is the way through which individual can analyse
where are standing and areas which has to be improved. When some information is presented
under article, then its relevancy gets more and this can be used in near future for authentic
purpose. With the help of reflection model, researcher is able to provide complete and
appropriate way of conducting study.
KEY THEORIES, METHODOLOGIES AND CONCEPTS
There is use of different theories and methodologies with the help of which research is
authentic and relevant, hence this provides justification behind using it. When methodologies are
appropriate and specific which has to be used, then it is essential for researcher to provide
justification behind every aspect. This assist in analysing and making study authentic. If
researcher want their information has to be used in future, then it is essential that they must
provide proper information about methodology (Johnston, 2017). There is proper and appropriate
understanding about aspects which are covered, so it is easy for reader to gain proper
understanding. There is use of deductive approach with the help of which broad concept are
covered to study proper study. With conducting study, it is easy for researcher to understand and

complete the study. This is the way which makes proper understanding about completion of
study. In order to complete study proper, there is requirement of analysing and implementing
different methodologies which makes availability of complete information so study is
appropriate and accurate. With using research onion framework, researcher get an appropriate
guide for completing study and this makes covering of all the concepts.
INFORMING MY OWN RESEARCH
In this research, I am able to understand about different concepts which are taking place
in external market. In this study, I used descriptive design which is one of the most appropriate
tool because it discuss complete study. With using deductive research design, it is easy for
researcher to get complete and relevant information. When major factors are covered in the
study, then it is easy for them to understand policies which are taking place. I had used both
sources for collecting information i.e. primary and secondary source. Primary information is
collected through questionnaire because respondents can easily share their views, but secondary
information is collected through online sources. This is the way with the help of which people
are able to get appropriate information and able to justify reasons behind it (Walsh and Mann,
2015).
I considered all the ethical aspects, so this study is appropriate and authentic for
analysing changes. There is proper evaluation of implementing changes and assist in using
proper rules and responsibilities. There is complete and specific way of conducting operations,
then it is easy for researcher to show their point of views. There is difference in perception of
individuals, but at the same time when I show point behind every aspect, then it is easy for
researcher to use appropriate way. Qualitative research method is better and appropriate because
this is the way through which human behaviour about some aspects are clear with use of picture
and graphs (Knott and Scragg, 2016).
CONCLUSION
From the above information and conducted study, I am able to understand policies which
has to be considered while conducting study. I gain knowledge about different methods through
which operations in completing operations. There is proper studying of actions which is
appropriate in order to make and upgrade knowledge of individuals. I came to know about

different methodologies which is better for implementing and evaluating changes. After studying
different papers, it is easy for me to examine views and give authentic information.
