SMALL SCALE RESEARCH IS BEING USED FOR THE COLLECTION OF
INFORMATION AS WELL AS DATA
The primary research method is widely used by researchers because in this research the
accuracy of the information collected is high. The data is gathered by the researcher for the
first time, the researcher involves himself in the research and moves to different places and
different people for recording their responses.
The qualitative and the quantitative research, methods will be used for finding out the
information in the report about the specific topic that is chosen for the project.
QUALITATIVE RESEARCH
The qualitative research is being used for presenting and finding out the data through
various qualitative sources, in this research method the information is gathered in
descriptive form and information will consider the aspects such as opinions, views and
personal perception of the group of people.
LITERATURE REVIEW
Zheng (2017) stated thatGlobalization has been defined as the term which helps
organizations in fulfilling their requirements by meeting and connecting different people
from remote areas. Through globalization, the economies have been integrated and they
are enjoying many benefits. The small businesses that do not have any support before are
planning to expand their businesses through globalization. The sourcing issues in the
organizations, the issue of the getting resources with better quality at a reasonable price
have been improved. It has also been analysed that organizations can use the latest
technology in their business operations.
Holm and Haahr (2018) explained that the impact of globalization on the recruitment and
selection process of Unilever is both positive due to many factors and negative because of
other factors. People from remote areas are getting opportunities for employment. The
organization Unilever is also getting many skilled and talented labours from all over the
world and this is possible because of globalization.Meyer and Peng (2016) People from
remote areas can get information about the different opportunities in the market. Quinlan

et al(2019), the competition has also increased among the employees and organizations and
also the employees in the Unilever are motivated towards improving their skills and abilities
and bring efficiency in their work.
The negative impact of the globalization on Unilever's recruitment process is that now the
company has to improve their process they need to conduct research and analyse that what
improvements could be done to select the best talentsfrom the world (Galbraith Emami,
and Lobstein, 2013).
In qualitative research, the interview method is being used for collecting information about
the related topic. The questions that will be asked in the interview method to a few people
and their interpretation will be used for further results.
The questions of the qualitative research are:
Do you consider that Unilever prefers lifelong learning for their employees?
Does the method of coaching is being preferably used by the organization Unilever?
Does the company Unilever use the strategy of no discrimination in the organization
with the employees in their organization?
Does the company Unilever face any challenges while providing training to their
employees?
Do employees in the organization get opportunities to improve their competencies
in the organization?
Does the recruitment method used by the Unilever help in recruiting the skilled and
talented employees in the organization?
QUANTITATIVE RESEARCH
On the other side, the quantitative data uses the statistical method for presenting data. In
qualitative research, the data is being collected through recording facts and figures. This is
more structured and provides information in numbers, figures and facts (Larson and Gray,
2017).
